Nhi considers herself to be a person who can handle pressure quite well and always sets clear goals as well as defines a direction, determined to pursue in order to achieve that goal. Right from entering grade 10 at Kim Lien High School, Nhi wanted to further develop her Union activities, especially boldly setting the goal of becoming Deputy Secretary of the School Union. “When I wrote the application form to join the School Union Executive Committee, my only goal at that time was to become Deputy Secretary of the School Union. That year, I strived and tried my best,” Nhi said. During the challenging year in grade 10, Nhi participated in all activities as a group leader or advisor to everyone. Wishing to become Deputy Secretary of the School Union, Nhi determined that she needed to increase her “recognition” with everyone. “I appear more at school by participating in the activities of the School Youth Union Executive Committee as an advisor or group leader so that people can recognize me more. I also try to participate in the school's major activities and programs,... I use my dancing ability to participate more in art performances; dance clubs. At the same time, I try to increase my recognition in terms of studying while maintaining good grades”. At the end of grade 10, Bao Nhi was recognized by the school. Therefore, by grade 11, when mentioning Bao Nhi, teachers and friends are no longer strangers. Bao Nhi became Deputy Secretary of the Kim Lien High School Youth Union for the 2022-2023 school year with the recognition and support of teachers and friends. After the end of her term, Bao Nhi will continue to serve as an advisor to the School Youth Union. Commenting on her student, Ms. Lai Thi Phuong Mai, the homeroom teacher and also the Literature teacher of class 12A11, assessed Bao Nhi as a very excellent student. “Bao Nhi has done many wonderful things beyond the teachers’ expectations. When she first entered grade 10, I asked Bao Nhi to be the class monitor, and she immediately accepted. Nhi has gained more and more trust from the teachers as well as the class. Bao Nhi is especially good at studying all subjects and all subject teachers praise her. When assigning her work in class and at school, the teachers trust her,” said Ms. Mai.Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, presented the decision to admit Phung Bao Chi and 6 other students of Kim Lien High School to Party membership. At work, Bao Nhi is very serious and responsible. “In the role of Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, in grade 11, Bao Nhi was “in charge” of many tasks for the school, but she completed them all. In the Youth Union, she is very active but does not neglect her studies. She is always the top student in terms of academic results in the class with very high scores,” Ms. Mai shared. While being active in the Youth Union movement and maintaining impressive scores, Bao Nhi admits that there are times when she is a bit stressed. To balance her time between studying and participating in extracurricular activities, Bao Nhi tries to arrange a scientific schedule. Nhi said that she tries to focus and grasp the knowledge right in class so that she does not waste time studying again during the day and can spend that time on other work. “Because of focusing on listening to lectures and absorbing knowledge in class, when I go home and review the keywords or notes that have been written, I can grasp the lesson firmly.” Nhi said that for her, work is also entertainment. “When I have free time or am too stressed, I often go jogging or listen to music. But I usually spend more of my vacation time in the summer, and during the school year, I always comfortably “entertain” myself by working,” Nhi shared. Bao Nhi said that the honor of being admitted to the Party while still a student is a beautiful milestone in her life. In the near future, Bao Nhi plans to study Law at university. However, for now, she will focus on completing her high school program, especially the upcoming high school graduation exam. On the morning of March 25, Kim Lien High School held a ceremony to admit 7 outstanding students to the Party. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Principal of Kim Lien High School, said that the 7 new Party members are outstanding students with excellent academic achievements and good moral and character training. In addition to studying, they are active participants in the Youth Union, school and class activities. "This is also an event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school's founding (1974-2024)," Ms. Hien said.
Attending and speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, expressed his hope that young party members would continue to cultivate, train, and strive in their studies as well as in their lives to make more contributions to the community and society.
