People's Artist Quang Vinh confessed to having two "abnormal" times with To Nga

The program "The Music Road" with the theme "Remembering Vi Giam" depicts To Nga's unique mark through more than 10 songs with the folk melodies of Nghe An and Vietnam. The female singer was filled with emotions with the songs that have been associated with her career journey.

The program is divided into 3 chapters, in which chapters 1 and 3 are songs and stories revolving around Vi Giam, with songs bearing the folk melody of Vi Giam that have been associated with and made To Nga's name. Possessing a low, rustic, emotional voice with a strong Central accent... is an advantage for the female singer to "wrestle" in folk songs. Right at the opening, To Nga sowed nostalgia with her sweet voice through the song "Remembering Vi Giam" - the theme song of the program. Sitting in the audience, Meritorious Artist To Uyen praised: "Very good singing, very emotional".

To Nga shared: "When I started singing the first verse, I was very moved, recalling the story from my childhood with family meals, the Lao wind and white sand. Those things nurtured my soul. I loved singing since I was a child, even though no one in my family was in the arts. I hid from my mother to watch music nights with famous artists like Trung Duc and Thu Hien performing and dreamed of growing up to stand on stage." Immediately after that, To Nga "invited" the audience to "Come back to Ha Tinh, my dear" with a strange yet familiar arrangement. "At the two ends of nostalgia", "Dieu Vi Giam is me", "Mo que"... continued to take the audience back to the memories of To Nga's career years. There, the female singer helped everyone better understand why every time she sang, her voice was so deep and passionate, especially with songs written about Nghe An.

During the program, To Nga shared many feelings about musician An Thuyen, who guided her towards folk music. The female singer expressed: "To Nga has been active for more than 30 years in folk music. To Nga is grateful to musician An Thuyen for guiding Nga towards the path of singing folk songs."

To commemorate her beloved teacher, To Nga sang "Ha Tinh Minh Thuong" - a famous song by An Thuyen and associated with To Nga's mark, helping To Nga win the Gold Medal of the festival and be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist. Before meeting teacher An Thuyen, To Nga sang pop music and when guided by teacher An Thuyen, she flourished to become a leading Meritorious Artist in folk music.

Although there are many new arrangements, To Nga asked Music Director Quang Vinh to let her sing again the arrangement she sang with Quang Vinh more than 20 years ago. The passionate love for the Ha Tinh countryside flows like a river in the lyrics. To Nga said that in 1999, when musician An Thuyen heard To Nga sing, he told To Nga to sing folk songs because "nowadays people sing folk songs with high voices, but a low voice like a folk singer is strange". When To Nga sang folk songs, she did not encounter any difficulties because folk songs had been ingrained in her since childhood.

Singing songs with the Central region's folk melody helps the female singer show off her strengths but also makes it difficult for her and her crew. The songs are very good and famous, but they are all the same color. However, the multi-colored, modern arrangements that do not lose the traditional Central region folk songs of Duc Nghia, Do Bao... have brought about differences, freshness, and appeal, helping the program become rich and diverse. Choosing Vi Giam songs with a gentle and emotional rhythm is also suitable for To Nga now. To Nga's voice once contained all the difficulties, pain, and hardships that she had experienced. To Nga is currently happy and her singing has therefore become gentler and sweeter than before.

Chapter 2 is a collection of songs about motherly love, about the feelings of life as a gentle story about To Nga in life, always finding joy and support in family and children. Hanoi has become her second hometown, so To Nga chose "Spring in the rice and flower villages" to praise this land. Hoai Cam continues to be a song full of emotions about Hanoi. The famous song by musician Cung Tien with beautiful lyrics shows that To Nga is not only a leading singer of folk songs, good at singing young music but also easily conquers old music.

This is also the most melancholy song in the program, bringing a different color, a different sound among the sweet and gentle of the whole program. This is the intention of Music Director Quang Vinh, bringing the audience away from the green rivers and fragrant rice fields to a nostalgic space before returning the audience to the land of folk songs, so that the listeners do not get bored, and at the same time, it is like a gentle story of To Nga about a quiet period of her life, full of her feelings.

"Hanoi did not give birth to Nga but witnessed the ups and downs of life, the sufferings and joys. Hanoi is the place Nga misses the most when she is far away" - To Nga confided. Hanoi also gave To Nga relatives like blood relatives, including Meritorious Artist Pham Phuong Thao. Choosing the composition "Thuong oi long me" by her close sister, To Nga moved listeners with her emotional and sentimental voice.

The highlight of September's "Music Road" was the very romantic duet between To Nga and her senior - People's Artist Quang Vinh, with the support of young singers and impressive youthful rap for a song with a strong folk color "Dua Anh Ve Ha Tinh". People's Artist Quang Vinh wore a shirt, white pants, and played the guitar very youthfully while To Nga was shy and gentle like a young girl waiting for her wedding.

When asked by MC My Van what made People's Artist Quang Vinh have special feelings for To Nga, People's Artist Quang Vinh humorously replied: "Special means not normal, if so then I have been not normal with To Nga twice. But To Nga deserves to be "not normal" by me, meaning to have many special feelings. To Nga also receives special feelings from the public, so there is no reason why someone close to me would not love and cherish her". To Nga also shared that she was touched because "Mr. Vinh reserved a word for Nga, which is the word "love".

Although the show was short with 10 songs, To Nga said she was more nervous than when doing a live show because this was a live program. The audience filled the auditorium and stayed until the end of the program to rush onto the stage to congratulate To Nga.
