Vietnamese agricultural products to be listed on Chinese e-commerce platforms

According to the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the launching ceremony of Vietnamese agricultural products booth on Chinese e-commerce and social networking platforms will take place on November 20.

This event is within the framework of Fair The 24th international agricultural exhibition (AgroViet 2024) is scheduled to be held from November 20-23 by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).

The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center said that AgroViet 2024 is organized to promote and expand international economic cooperation and exchange, promote brands, products, trade transactions, honor agricultural, forestry, fishery products, OCOP products, and specialties of localities across the country. This event is also an opportunity for businesses and cooperatives to consolidate and exploit domestic and export markets.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development - said that Vietnam has strong export potential. It is expected that by the end of the year, the export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products will reach over 60 billion USD, much higher than the export turnover of previous years.

Mr. Dang Phuc Nguyen - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association - said: "Vietnam has many strengths in exporting agricultural products. In order for Vietnamese agricultural products to impress consumers, it is necessary to first improve product quality, invest in production and processing technology, ensure quality and food hygiene and safety. When creating a product with an eye-catching design, it is necessary to continue build brand reputation".

According to Mr. Nguyen, introducing Vietnamese agricultural products on e-commerce platforms and social network China is successful in promoting international cooperation and association. Vietnamese agricultural products have all the conditions to go further in the international market, but to be effective, units should cooperate with local enterprises, cooperate on the basis of mutual benefit. Grasping the market and finding appropriate business plans, helping agricultural products go further in the international market.

Mr. Hoang Van Du - Deputy Director of the Center for Agricultural Trade Promotion - said that AgroViet 2024 will be a great opportunity for businesses to connect, promote products, and expand markets, contributing to promoting sustainable agricultural development.

Currently, the organizing committee of AgroViet 2024 has received registrations from nearly 100 domestic and foreign units, equivalent to 250 standard booths up to now, including 99 booths from countries and territories such as China, Taiwan (China), Mongolia, Korea, Australia, Russia and Japan.
