Previously, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy (My Thach 3 village, Chu Se town) mainly sold clean coffee products under the Thanh Thuy brand at home and through the introduction of acquaintances. Realizing that the development of technology and social networks has opened up many opportunities to promote and bring products closer to consumers, Ms. Thuy has brought clean coffee to sell online via Zalo and Facebook. Thereby, coffee products have reached a new customer base, in line with current consumption trends.

“Since 2016, I have been processing pure organic coffee. In addition to learning how to roast, process, and package coffee, I have also learned how to sell on digital platforms. Up to now, my clean coffee products have been present in many provinces and cities across the country. At one point, I sold more than 50 kg of roasted and ground coffee per day, at a price of 150,000-250,000 VND/kg. Currently, my children are continuing to develop this product line to meet customer needs,” said Ms. Thuy.

Recently, Ms. Pham Thi Binh (O village, Ia Ve commune, Chu Prong district) has boldly brought agricultural products to platforms such as: Shopee, TikTok, Zalo, Facebook...

She shared: “I apply e-commerce to introduce and sell green banana powder, lemongrass tea, soursop tea, black bean tea, winter melon tea, bean powder... on social networking platforms, including livestream sales. Surprisingly, the number of products consumed on e-commerce platforms is increasing day by day, earning more than 200 million VND/year. Since applying technology, my agricultural products are consumed many times faster and have new customers at home and abroad.”

Mr. Dinh Quang Tuyen - Chairman of Ia Ve Commune Farmers' Association - informed: In addition to supplying to retail agents, Ms. Pham Thi Binh's products are also consumed strongly on e-commerce channels. These products are widely promoted and consumed in the market, helping farmers in the commune have a regular purchasing location, increasing their income and contributing to promoting local specialty products.

Similarly, to improve the quality and competitiveness of his roasted coffee products, Mr. Tran Quoc Tien (village 1, Tra Da commune, Pleiku city) has focused on production according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP, organic standards... Along with that, he has promoted the application of digital technology to promote and consume products.

Mr. Tien said: Applying digital technology not only helps to widely promote agricultural products to consumers but also motivates farmers to increasingly improve techniques to bring the best quality products to the market.

“Every year, my facility sells about 4 tons of roasted and ground coffee. In order to create trust for consumers, I have used QR Code to encode information about the product, growing area, and production facility of my “Than Coffee” product. Applying a product traceability system to confirm genuine products.

When customers scan the QR code on the stamp, they will see full information such as: production process, preparation method, packaging... This creates customer trust in the product and increases competitiveness with other products in the large market" - Mr. Tien said.

In recent times, Farmers' Associations at all levels have focused on disseminating policies and guidelines on digital economic development; training and guiding farmer members on how to sell on e-commerce platforms.

In addition to applying scientific and technological advances in production, many farmers in the province have accessed e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, Tiki, Sendo... and social networks such as YouTube, Facebook, Zalo, TikTok... to promote, find markets, and bring products to consumers quickly and effectively.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Y Kham, to help farmer members gain knowledge and skills in product management and consumption, the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinates to organize training courses to improve business skills, especially solutions to attract customers, do business on digital platforms, develop brands and build images.
