Connecting Russian businesses and investors with the world

In the context of globalization, connecting investors and businesses is a key factor determining business success. The Roscongress Foundation and the Eastern Economic Forum have proven their indispensable role in creating networking opportunities, especially between businesses and investors in the Russian Federation and countries around the world.

Aiming to promote trade between the Russian Federation and the world, the Roscongress Foundation - the organizer of the Eastern Economic Forum has created a forum that brings together businesses and investors not only in Russia but also from many countries around the world to participate, seek cooperation opportunities and share experiences in each business field.

In fact, in 2023 alone, the Eastern Economic Forum signed more than 1,000 cooperation commitments with a total investment value of more than 6.5 trillion rubles, helping businesses and investors find cooperation opportunities and promote trade flows between countries and the Russian Federation.

In addition, the events organized by the Roscongress Foundation annually attract the participation of more than 209 countries and territories, with more than 15,000 media representatives working at Roscongress venues and more than 5,000 experts from Russia and abroad participating.

Vietnam is a potential economy to attract investment.

In particular, this year's Eastern Economic Forum will be even more meaningful in connecting businesses and investors between the Russian Federation and Vietnam.

In fact, after the recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Vietnam, the relationship between the Russian Federation and Vietnam has been upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership, with many agreements signed, opening up opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

On the basis of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, many businesses and investors from both sides are interested in seeking cooperation/investment opportunities and once again the Eastern Economic Forum will be a connecting bridge to continue to elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that the two sides have just signed.

Sharing with Dau Tu Newspaper reporters, Mr. Igor Pavlov, Deputy CEO of Roscongress Fund and Director of the Eastern Economic Forum, said that Vietnam is developing very dynamically. In particular, Vietnam has more than 17 signed free trade agreements, and is currently having economic cooperation agreements with more than 230 countries in the world, so it will open up opportunities to access a relatively large market when most of the major countries in the world are Vietnam's trading partners.

“We see the clear growth of Vietnam's economy, and from there we see the attractiveness of the Vietnamese economy to investors and businesses in the Russian Federation,” Mr. Igor Pavlov emphasized.

Potential investment sectors in Vietnam include hydrocarbons, agriculture, seafood processing and information technology. In addition, Vietnam is also actively improving its infrastructure, creating many opportunities for Russian investors to participate in developing road networks and construction projects.

In contrast to the large Russian Federation market, Vietnamese enterprises can also participate in the Forum to connect and expand cooperation and investment.

“We want to help businesses find more opportunities in investment activities, in which the Forum is a platform for everyone to cooperate in a compact and effective way. Roscongress Fund tries to create such activities to help businesses and investors connect with each other,” Mr. Igor Pavlov added.

In fact, over the years, many cooperations between Russian and Vietnamese enterprises have been bringing sustainable business results such as the Vietsopetro joint venture. However, there are still many fields and enterprises that have not really left many marks of cooperation between enterprises of the two countries.

Mr. Igor Pavlov believes that Vietnamese enterprises have enough capacity to attract and develop further potential. However, the biggest problem is that Vietnamese enterprises lack opportunities to promote themselves abroad.

At the Eastern Economic Forum, participating businesses can meet with partners privately, hold roundtable meetings, participate in specialized exhibitions... to find partners/associates that match their business philosophy, thereby helping businesses develop even faster.

Mr. Igor Pavlov also gave advice as the organizer of the Eastern Economic Forum: “The Roscongress Foundation and the Eastern Economic Forum will be the bridge, helping businesses find suitable partners with the same vision and long-term development strategy.”
