Groundbreaking ceremony of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park project: Promoting advantages for socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, leaders of ministries, branches, Provincial Party Committee, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and local agencies, Viglacera Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, and a number of domestic and foreign enterprises attended the ceremony.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Khanh Hoa Province Liberation Day (April 2, 1975 - April 2, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The Doc Da Trang Industrial Park Project was approved by the Prime Minister for investment policy in Decision No. 234/QD-TTg dated March 18, 2024 and was granted an investment registration certificate by the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board. The investor is Viglacera Yen My Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company.

The project has a total investment of over 1,807 billion VND, with an operating period of 50 years. The project covers an area of ​​about 288 hectares, located in Van Hung commune (Van Ninh district) and Ninh Tho commune (Ninh Hoa town).

Of which, nearly 204 hectares is industrial production land, warehouses with a maximum construction density of 70%, maximum height of 5 floors; service area of ​​more than 4.2 hectares, including: commercial, medical, sports facilities, worker accommodation, product display area, park...; expected to attract about 16,000 workers.

Industries targeted to be attracted to the industrial park include clean industries, processing industries, high-tech manufacturing, precision mechanics, electronics, supporting industries, warehousing, etc.

Since the beginning of 2024, when the project was approved by the Prime Minister in principle for investment, the People's Committee of Van Ninh district and the People's Committee of Ninh Hoa town have developed a plan for land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance and are focusing resources on implementation.

It is expected that by the second quarter of 2025, the investor will complete construction licensing procedures to start construction for the 1,100-hectare area; the remaining areas will follow the progress in the approved investment registration certificate.

During the implementation process, regarding site clearance, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the District and Town People's Committees as well as the local political system regularly organized meetings, mobilized and received feedback on difficulties and complaints from households to ensure the resolution of appropriate and reasonable policies on the basis of legal regulations, creating conditions for maximum support for affected people to soon stabilize their lives.

Doc Da Trang Industrial Park project is the first pioneering industrial park in Khanh Hoa province to be implemented after the planning of Khanh Hoa province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Adjustment of the General Planning for the construction of Van Phong Economic Zone, Khanh Hoa province to 2040, with a vision to 2050 were approved.

When the project comes into operation, it will contribute to accelerating the process of economic restructuring of the province towards industrialization and modernization; contributing to solving jobs, increasing income for workers, creating revenue for the state budget, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality in general and Van Phong Economic Zone in particular.

After this groundbreaking ceremony, Viglacera Yen My Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company commits to focus all resources, synchronously build infrastructure and technology on schedule within the content of the granted investment certificate and put into operation according to the plan. At the same time, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee will always accompany and support investors to remove obstacles to implement the project.
