Over the years, along with the efforts of local authorities at all levels, Phu Tho Urban Environment Joint Stock Company has always strived to fulfill its tasks of ensuring environmental sanitation and preserving the urban landscape. Phu Tho Urban Environment Joint Stock Company is a public service unit in the town with the task of managing, caring for and protecting public works, lighting systems, trees and environmental sanitation... With the motto of "Professional, responsible, creative", the Company not only performs well in production and business tasks but also pays special attention to environmental protection work, ensuring the quality of life for the community. On average, every day, officers and workers have to collect, transport and process about 45 tons of household waste on all roads and residential areas. Especially, on holidays, Tet or when there are natural disasters, storms..., the work increases more but the collective of officers and workers of the Company always strive to complete the task, quickly returning the clean and beautiful street landscape.

From 2024 to the end of the first quarter of 2025, the Company has collected, transported and treated more than 20.2 thousand tons of waste; laid over 10,000 square meters of new colored leaf carpets; trimmed and maintained 4,500 ornamental plants and trees; decorated 15 arches, 35 crosswalks, more than 1,500 logos on the public lighting pole system... Thereby, not only helping to improve air quality but also ensuring standard brightness to serve safe traffic. Especially on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land this year, the unit has installed nearly 30 banners on main roads and central areas of the town with the slogan "No matter where you go - remember the Commemoration Day of the Ancestors on the 10th of March" to create a highlight of the environmental landscape for people and tourists to look back to the origin of the nation.

Comrade Pham Hong Thai - Director of Phu Tho Urban Environment Joint Stock Company said: "Determining environmental protection and urban beauty preservation as its important mission, over the past time, each officer and worker of the Company has always strived to make Phu Tho town brighter - greener - cleaner - more beautiful. In the coming time, we will mobilize legal resources to invest in means and modern technical equipment to perform professional work well, at the same time, closely coordinate with local authorities to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to raise their sense of responsibility for environmental protection and strictly implement garbage disposal on time to facilitate waste collection and treatment in the area".

Maintenance and repair of high-voltage lighting systems are carried out regularly to ensure standard brightness for safe traffic.

In order to meet the requirements and tasks of ensuring the environment, the Town People's Committee has strengthened the direction and guidance of departments, units, wards and communes to regularly coordinate with organizations and unions at the same level to deploy activities and communication campaigns to raise awareness of environmental protection to the whole society. Up to now, environmental protection work in the area has achieved certain results, the responsibility of Party committees at all levels, authorities, unions and people's awareness have had many positive changes, bringing a better living environment for the people. Up to now, the collection and transportation of household waste has been implemented in 59/62 residential areas; medical waste is collected, transported and treated in the right place; industrial zones and clusters in the area all have centralized wastewater treatment systems that meet standards before discharging into the environment. In the inspection and supervision work, in 2024, specialized agencies discovered and administratively sanctioned 4 production and business establishments that did not comply with environmental protection regulations.

In the coming time, together with the efforts of Phu Tho Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, Phu Tho town will continue to implement the Environmental Protection Project for the period 2023-2025, with a vision to 2030, with the goal of building a centralized wastewater collection and treatment system with a capacity of ^2,700m3 /day by 2028. In addition, direct specialized agencies to strengthen the inspection of compliance with environmental protection laws for production, business and resource exploitation activities in the area. At the same time, continue to promote propaganda work, mobilize the participation of the people in monitoring agencies and enterprises with waste discharge sources and promptly spread and replicate good models and practices in environmental protection, responding to climate change, contributing to building the urban landscape of the town to be increasingly bright - green - clean - beautiful and civilized.
