TPO - After selecting investors to build the first 8 rest stops on the North-South Expressway, the Vietnam Expressway Administration (CTVN) has just announced that contractors are urgently agreeing on specific locations and areas to build and basically complete these stations, serving people before Tet.
The first (first) rest stop in this list was built on the Mai Son - QL45 highway, located at Km329+700 in Dong Hoa commune, Dong Son district, Thanh Hoa province. |
This is a “dual” station project - meaning there is a rest stop on each side of the road and it is located opposite each other. |
The total area for building each rest stop is 3 hectares. This entire area has now been cleared by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. |
The next (second) rest stop location is located on the Nghi Son - Dien Chau highway, construction location Km427+035, in two communes Dien Hanh and Dien Quang, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province. |
This is also a "dual" rest stop project, each opposite side of the road has 1 rest stop, the total construction area of each station is 3 hectares. |
The third rest stop is located at Km478+200 of the Dien Chau - Bai Vot expressway component project in Yen Ho commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province. |
The station on Dien Chau - Bai Vot highway also has the same scale, location and arrangement of the "double" station as the 2 stations mentioned above. |
With the next 5 stations built on the North-South expressway component projects running through the Central provinces such as: Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway (4th station - location Km33+930); Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway (5th station - location Km90+900); Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet Expressway (2 stations built including 6th and 7th stations - locations Km144+560 and Km205+092); Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway (8th station - location Km47+500). |
To eliminate the situation of no rest stops and refueling stations on the North-South Expressway, the Vietnam Road Administration said that the projects have a construction period of 17 months (starting from August 2024), however, essential public works and services such as rest stops with commercial services for drivers, refueling stations, and toilets must be completed within 11 months (specifically before the Lunar New Year this year). To have a site for the construction of the above 8 rest stops, the Ministry of Transport has just issued a telegram requesting relevant provinces and cities to complete site clearance work in October 2024 for investors to implement the project.
