Some universities are expected to announce admission scores based on high school graduation exam scores on August 17.
Up to this point, the time when universities announce the first round of admission scores is information that many candidates are interested in.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training's enrollment plan, by 5 p.m. on August 6, candidates must complete payment of the enrollment fee on the system. Before that, by 5 p.m. on August 5 at the latest, schools will update preliminary information, exemption from foreign language exams, etc.
Notably, from August 13 to 5 p.m. on August 17, training institutions will upload data and organize admissions. On that basis, by 5 p.m. on August 19 at the latest, universities will announce the benchmark scores and results of the first round of admissions.
However, some universities said they will announce the admission scores on the afternoon of August 17, right after the virtual selection process of the Ministry of Education and Training ends.
Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade plans to announce its benchmark scores on the evening of August 17. Similarly, Nha Trang University also plans to announce its benchmark scores on August 17. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry plans to announce its scores on August 18.
Some schools post their admission results announcement schedules according to the general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training. For example, the University of Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) plans to announce admission results before 5 p.m. on August 19. Admitted candidates must confirm their admission at the Ministry of Education and Training's admission portal before 5 p.m. on August 27 and submit their application and complete admission procedures at the University of Technology.
Previously, according to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, the general admission support system recorded a total of more than 733,000 candidates who had registered for admission (equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam in 2024). The number of admission wishes to many universities increased sharply, some schools doubled last year. But on the contrary, some schools recorded a lower total number of wishes than last year. According to the prediction of university representatives, the standard scores will fluctuate in some groups of majors compared to last year.
