According to the reporter's records on the afternoon of April 2, some areas in My Tho City such as Trung Luong roundabout, district road 92, some alleys in residential area 2, ward 10... were flooded quite deeply due to high tide, affecting traffic.

Because the road in front of their house was deeply flooded, some households had to wade through the water, making it difficult for vehicles to move. Some houses were located in low-lying areas, so water flooded into their houses, forcing people to place furniture and household items on the ground to avoid damage.

Especially at Trung Luong roundabout area, due to high tide during rush hour, traffic through this area encountered many difficulties. Vehicles moved slowly, leading to local congestion.

Traffic Police - Tien Giang Provincial Police were present at Trung Luong roundabout to regulate traffic, guide vehicles, and avoid prolonged congestion.

Previously, according to the forecast of the Hydrometeorological Station of Tien Giang province, the high tide in early March of the lunar calendar in My Tho city (Tien river) was at 1.65 - 1.75m, about 10cm higher than alarm level III.
