Cristiano Ronaldo is still showing "terrible" form despite being about to turn 39 when he reached the 50-goal mark in 2023, on par with young striker Erling Haaland of Man City.

"A fantastic win and I'm delighted to announce my 50th goal in 2023. All thanks to the unwavering support of my teammates, the fans and my family!
There will still be time for me to score a few more goals this year," Ronaldo shared on Instagram with his 610 million followers after scoring in Al Nassr's 5-2 victory over Al Shabab in the quarter-finals of Saudi Arabia's King's Cup early on December 12 (Vietnam time).
With the above goal, Ronaldo has officially reached the milestone of 50 goals scored in 2023. Notably, this is the 8th time in his career he has done this, second only to Messi (9 times).
His best performance was 69 goals in 2013 for Real Madrid and the Portugal national team.
More impressively, the 50th goal also helped Ronaldo rise to the world's No. 1 position in terms of goalscoring achievements in 2023. Only Erling Haaland has the same number of goals as CR7, but remember that he is about to turn 39 while the Man City star is only 23 years old.
Even Harry Kane, who is in great form for Bayern Munich, is still one goal behind Ronaldo.
In the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo is leading the race for the Golden Boot this season, having scored 16 goals in 15 appearances for Al Nassr. In all competitions, the Portuguese star has scored 20 goals for Al Nassr this season.
If calculated in the calendar year 2023, CR7 scored 40 goals, assisted 12 times in 47 matches for Al Nassr, the remaining achievement in the Portuguese national team shirt.
From now until the end of 2023, Ronaldo will have 3 more matches to play for Al Nassr against Al Ettifaq (December 23), Al Ittihad (December 27) and Al Taawoon (December 31). With his current form, the chance for CR7 to end 2023 with more than 50 goals is very high.
