CHANGE MEDAL COLOR TO THANK PARENTS
Yesterday afternoon (May 15), the 32nd SEA Games Taekwondo Stadium witnessed the emotional image of martial artist Pham Dang Quang. The final match of the 63 kg weight class was not smooth at first for the Vietnamese guy when he lost to his Thai opponent in the first round. However, the martial artist from Ho Chi Minh City became more and more excellent as he fought. With decisive and precise punches in each round, he defeated his opponent to win the gold medal in a very worthy way.

After the referee announced the final result, Dang Quang shouted happily, ran quickly and jumped up to hug his coach, causing both of them to fall to the floor. In his third time participating in the SEA Games (the previous two times he won bronze medals), Pham Dang Quang was able to change the color of the medal to the most beautiful color and he wanted to send the gold medal as a special thank you to his family: "I came to taekwondo and fell in love with this martial art thanks to my brother. My parents also wholeheartedly supported me in pursuing the path of a professional athlete. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank my family."
"I have never regretted pursuing a martial arts career. I am someone who always sets clear goals and is determined with what I have pursued. Therefore, my parents have always supported me wholeheartedly and always advised me to be serious with what I have chosen to become a useful person for society. Up to now, I have successfully changed the color of the medal, not letting down my parents' trust in bringing glory to Vietnamese sports", Dang Quang shared with boundless happiness. His mouth smiled brightly but the corners of his eyes were filled with tears.

TEAM MEDAL IS MORE VALUABLE THAN INDIVIDUAL MEDAL
Vietnam's No. 1 fencer, Vu Thanh An, smiled brightly after he, along with Nguyen Van Quyet, To Duc Anh, and Nguyen Xuan Loi, defeated the Singaporean team to successfully defend his SEA Games gold medal in the team sabre event on May 15. A few days ago, Thanh An only received a silver medal in the individual event. Feeling sad and disappointed, the fencer from Hanoi told himself that he would be determined to win the gold medal in the team event.
Keeping their promise, Thanh An and his teammates played extremely well to easily defeat the Malaysian team in the qualifying round. In the semi-finals, the class of the Vietnamese fencers continued to be demonstrated through a clear victory over the Indonesian team to enter the final match against Singapore. With a reasonable substitution strategy, the Vietnamese men's team won the final and won the gold medal.

Vietnam delegation accelerates
Today (May 16), the 32nd SEA Games takes place on its final day of competition. The Vietnamese sports delegation has a great chance to defend its number 1 position as it is far ahead of its second-place rival Thailand and will also compete in strong events such as wrestling, kick boxing, dance sports, weightlifting, fencing, etc. Vietnam may win about 10 more gold medals and exceed its target.

Vu Thanh An shared: "I am very happy to bring home another gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation. This is a team medal, even more valuable than an individual medal. Before entering the competition, I felt a lot of pressure. Not achieving an individual achievement forced me and the whole team to try twice or three times harder to achieve the achievement. In my life, competing in team events is the most interesting because the pressure is shared by everyone and so is winning. The opponent Singapore is very determined. They beat Thailand in the semi-finals, which can be considered a surprise. So entering the competition, losing the first match was also normal. But the whole team was determined to win again. I am very happy because I overcame the pressure."
