Maintain a long-term sustainable relationship

According to Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc City Huynh Chi Oanh, in 2024, in order to maintain the good relationship between the government of Chau Doc City and Bourei Cholsar District, the unit coordinated with agencies, departments, branches, and socio-political organizations to visit and present gifts to the government and people of Chrey Chouk Commune, Kampong Krasang (total cost of more than 210 million VND) on the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year and Sene Dolta Festival of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

On the occasion of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, every year, the delegation of Bourei Cholsar district visits and congratulates the leaders and people of Chau Doc City. Thereby, continuing to consolidate and develop the good traditional relationship, demonstrating solidarity and friendship between the government, border protection forces, the National Solidarity Front for Development and friendly organizations under the motto "Good neighbors - Traditional friendship - Comprehensive cooperation - Long-term sustainability".

Leaders of Chau Doc City People's Committee wish a Happy New Year to leaders and people of Bourei Cholsar district

This tradition has been maintained continuously. On the occasion of the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year 2025, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc City coordinated with socio-political organizations, armed forces, sponsors, Vinh Te Commune and Vinh Nguon Ward to visit and present gifts to the people of Chrey Chouk and Kampong Krasang communes. At the meeting, many meaningful gifts were given. The City Fatherland Front Committee and units donated 400 gifts of necessities, 400 boxes of noodles, 4 tons of rice, and 10 gift baskets, with a total value of 215 million VND. In addition, Vinh Nguon Border Guard Station sent gifts to Border Guard Police Station No. 11, Border Guard Police Station No. 12, Border Guard Platoon 1, Border Guard Platoon 2; Supported 2 students under the Step Up to School Program, each student received 2 million VND. Vinh Te Commune gave 4 gifts to Chrey Chouk Commune; Vinh Nguon Ward gave 5 gifts to Kampong Krasang Commune.

We have maintained visits on the occasion of holidays, Tet, anniversaries, and each other's traditions. The functional forces of the two sides have maintained regular information exchanges, coordination, support in the fight, prevention, and combat of crime, together maintaining a peaceful, friendly, and developed border. In the first months of 2025, the socio-economic development results of Chau Doc city continued to achieve positive results, creating conditions for the locality to enter a new stage with higher development goals. With that excitement, Chau Doc City People's Committee would like to congratulate the great and important achievements in all fields that Bourei Cholsar district has achieved in the construction and development process" - Vice Chairman of Chau Doc City People's Committee Huynh Buu Toan emphasized.

The parties regularly meet and exchange periodically.

Mr. Sieu Rak Sa (Deputy District Chief of Bourei Cholsar District) highly appreciated the cooperation and friendship in many fields, in accordance with the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two countries, ensuring security and order along the border, preventing all activities and crimes according to the provisions of law, protecting the territorial integrity of both sides. In particular, contributing to the socio-economic development in the Vietnam - Cambodia border area in general, Chau Doc City - Bourei Cholsar District in particular.
