The "Leader Without a Title" in Mu Vo Area

Mu Vo area, My Thuan commune - a peaceful countryside of Tan Son district - has a person who is always trusted and respected by the people. That is Mr. Hoang Van Giang, a son of the Muong people, who has been dedicating himself to the development of the area.

Mr. Hoang Van Giang is a prestigious person in the community in Mu Vo area, My Thuan commune, Tan Son district.

Born and raised here, Mr. Giang is deeply attached to this land. In any position, he always has a heart to build his homeland more prosperous and beautiful. When he retired, he still silently devoted his efforts to the community. In recognition of his contributions, in 2015, the people trusted and elected him as a Prestigious Person. From then on, he realized that he had to make more efforts to build a civilized and beautiful residential area.

One of Mr. Giang's outstanding achievements is mobilizing people to donate land and contribute funds to build a traffic system. In just a few short years, the appearance of Mu Vo has completely changed. The bumpy dirt roads have now been replaced by smooth concrete roads, convenient for traveling and transporting goods. Thanks to that, by 2016, 85% of the traffic system in the residential area had been concreted. In 2019, he continued to mobilize people to donate land to build a 4km inter-commune road. These numbers not only demonstrate Mr. Giang's efforts but also show the solidarity and consensus of the people of Mu Vo area.

Mr. Giang said: “As the first person to come here to dig land, build houses, and then bring my children to build the village, I received great support and consensus from the people. With that trust, I boldly mobilized people to donate land, and together with the government, asked for land from the tea company to build a smooth road, connecting the village, helping to facilitate traffic, develop the economy, improve life, and make the people excited.”

In addition to building infrastructure, Mr. Giang is also very interested in improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people. He has actively mobilized the construction of a spacious cultural house, becoming a place for community activities for the people. In 2020, he also mobilized the people to pour concrete on the road leading to the cultural house, creating favorable conditions for cultural and artistic activities.

Not only is he a prestigious person in the community, Mr. Giang is also a shining example of morality and lifestyle. He always sets an example of law enforcement, actively propagates the policies of the Party and the State, regularly reconciles conflicts, ensures that the residential area is free of social evils and child marriage. In addition, he also actively participates in economic development, improves family life, and contributes to the local socio-economy. In 2022, his family's garden-pond-cage model was visited and highly appreciated by Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh, who proposed to encourage further replication and development of the model.

Mr. Ha Van Thuyn - Vice Chairman of My Thuan Commune People's Committee assessed: "Mr. Giang's role and voice have contributed to the effective implementation of the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period (National Target Program 1719) among the Muong ethnic group and in the entire commune. Thanks to that, the people's lives have been increasingly improved, becoming an exemplary community, where people develop together in the spirit of solidarity and mutual love".

Mr. Hoang Van Giang is a typical example of a prestigious person among ethnic minorities. With his enthusiasm, responsibility and heart for the community, he has made an important contribution to the development of Mu Vo area. Mr. Giang's image is not only the pride of the people of Mu Vo area but also a shining example for everyone to learn and follow.
