Roads connecting "Party's ideas"

Coming to the former communes of Minh Phu, Vu Quang, Chan Mong, now merged into Chan Mong commune, Doan Hung district, at a time when the whole country is looking forward to the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country, traveling on the roads connecting "the Party's will - the people's heart", we feel the space is filled with a new look and vitality. The dusty, muddy dirt roads of the past have now been paved with smooth concrete, creating convenience for people to travel, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

The 2.4km long route of Zone 8 and 9 with 1 main branch and 5 secondary branches to Tram Than commune, Phu Ninh district and vice versa has completed the site clearance work and is awaiting completion and handover for use in June this year. To build this route, 59 households living along the roads in the residential area have volunteered to donate more than 4,170m2 of land with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND.

As one of the families who always set an example and volunteered in the movement of donating land for road construction in the locality, Mr. Dang Ngoc Truong - Zone 8, old Minh Phu commune shared: "Understanding that building a road is to meet the travel needs in both the present and the future, so as soon as the commune and the area mobilized, my whole family quickly agreed to donate more than 1,000m2 of garden land and residential land, the fence and trees in front of my house were also cleared for the commune to construct. Later, when the road is completed, our lives will certainly be better and there will be more conditions for trading goods and developing the economy".

Over the past years, the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the communes of Minh Phu, Vu Quang, and the old Chan Mong has been actively responded to by the people and has become a widespread movement. In order to build roads connecting "the Party's will and the people's hearts", the locality has mobilized the people with the motto "The State and the People work together", in which the team of cadres and Party members play a key role, as a bridge between the Party Committee, the government and the people, creating solidarity and consensus throughout the implementation process. From 2023 to present, in the area of ​​the 3 communes now known as Chan Mong, 345 households have voluntarily donated 12,755m2 of land to build roads. Of which, 1,500m2 of residential land and 11,255m2 of garden land. Thanks to that, 15 new routes have been built, deployed and upgraded with a total cost of more than 35 billion VND, contributing to improving people's lives and creating conditions to enhance cultural exchange between regions in the district.

Chan Mong commune leaders propagate and mobilize people to donate land to build roads to build new rural areas.

Taking us to visit some key roads in the locality that are in the process of completion with the consensus and high support of the people, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Chairman of Chan Mong Commune People's Committee said: "With the participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people with the motto "The State and the People work together", the movement of donating land for road construction in the locality has been creating a strong spread, multiplying the beautiful image of the spirit of community responsibility and solidarity of the people in accelerating the progress of building New Rural Areas in the locality. Thanks to that, the rate of solidified traffic in the commune has reached 86.7%, the traffic system of alleys and residential areas has reached 94%; 100% of the roads into the commune center are concreted, bright - green - clean - beautiful, contributing to the convenience of traveling, trading goods of the people and enhancing cultural exchange between regions in the district".

Leaving Chan Mong on the spacious, flat, clean concrete roads with full drainage systems and street lights, we can see that the Party and State's policies are very much in line with the people's wishes. The roads connecting "Party's will - people's hearts" are increasingly extended and expanded by the spirit of great solidarity, not only gradually bringing a more prosperous and fulfilling life to the people but also making the rural face of the locality more and more prosperous, contributing to creating momentum for the people to develop the economy and strive to become rich.
