Nutritionist Vandana Sheth, a diabetes educator in the US, recommends that patients with high blood pressure should eat breakfast within 1 hour of waking up to promote healthy blood pressure, according to Yahoo News.

This timing helps the body maintain balanced blood sugar levels from the start, reducing stress on the cardiovascular system and promoting stable blood pressure, explains Vandana Sheth.

Routhenstein agrees, adding that eating within 30 to 60 minutes of waking can help control blood pressure by reducing levels of the stress hormone cortisol, improving insulin sensitivity, and providing nutrients that help lower blood pressure.

However, if you cannot eat within 1 hour of waking up, eating anytime is still better than skipping breakfast, because this meal is very useful for people with high blood pressure.

Functional medicine nutritionist Kaytee Hadley, founder of Holistic Health and Wellness Center (USA), said: The best time to eat breakfast is when you can sit down, enjoy it and make it a habit.
