Ngoc Lac develops mass cultural and sports movements

The mass cultural, physical education and sports movement in Ngoc Lac district is increasingly developing, creating a healthy and useful playground, attracting a large number of people to participate in training, thereby contributing to building a healthy lifestyle, improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.

Cultural and sports activities were organized by the People's Committee of Thach Lap commune, attracting a large number of people to participate.

As a tradition, at exactly 6 p.m. every day, Ms. Pham Thi Oanh, head of the women's association of Lap Thang village, Thach Lap commune, and other women in the village gather at the cultural house to practice performing arts.

Ms. Oanh shared: “Participating in activities in art and sports clubs has improved our spiritual life. This is also an opportunity for people in the village to exchange, chat, and strengthen solidarity and attachment. Although very busy with daily life, with the spirit of loving art, the sisters in the association participate in practice very enthusiastically.”

Currently, Lap Thang village is maintaining the activities of 6 cultural and artistic teams of the women's association. In addition to daily practice, the artistic teams also regularly participate in performances and exchanges in other localities nationwide on major holidays of the homeland, the country, traditional days of organizations... In addition, the village also maintains the activities of other clubs such as: volleyball club, leather volleyball club, men's and women's football club...

Not only Lap Thang village, currently 12/12 villages in Thach Lap commune are maintaining the activities of many cultural and sports clubs. Clubs such as: volleyball; leather volleyball; club for building happy and sustainable families; women helping each other reduce poverty; "Women join hands to protect the environment 5 no, 3 clean"; folk dance, sports; club for women's health... are widely responded and participated by the people.

The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in the commune is also integrated with other movements of political and social organizations. From there, friendly behavior towards the community is focused on cultivating, traditional cultural values, good customs and practices are preserved and promoted. Awareness, consciousness and responsibility of cadres, party members and people in the work of building a cultural life are gradually improved. In 2024, the whole commune will have 75.6% of families achieving the title of cultural family, 83.3% of residential areas achieving the title of cultural residential area.

Mr. Pham Van Huy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Lap Commune, said: "Cultural - artistic, physical training - sports movements are always organized with attention by the Party Committee and the commune government. With many diverse and rich activities, the movement has attracted a large number of cadres and people to participate. Currently, the commune is implementing the Project "Preserving and developing traditional stilt houses of the Muong ethnic group associated with community tourism development in the period of 2021 - 2025"; projects to develop tourism, preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in the area.

In 2024, the Department of Culture and Information of Ngoc Lac district advised the district to organize cultural and artistic activities before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin, to celebrate political and social events of the country and the homeland in all communes, towns, agencies and units in the district. Thereby, art troupes were selected and sent to participate in the 20th Ethnic Culture Festival and perform traditional costumes of Thanh Hoa province in 2024. The district's mass art troupe represented Thanh Hoa province to participate in the National Folk Cultural Performance Competition of Ethnic Groups in 2024 in Quang Ngai province.

Cultural and sports activities have created a vibrant cultural and artistic movement, contributing to meeting the spiritual and cultural needs of the people and preserving national cultural values, creating an exciting and vibrant atmosphere, attracting a large number of people to participate.

Mr. Pham Dinh Cuong, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Ngoc Lac district, said: "The district has 1 mass art troupe of the district's Center for Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism; 213 art troupes of 213 villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods, performing in cultural festivals/festivals of the village, local festivals, competitions, and performances... Thereby, creating a joyful and united atmosphere in the community. Thanks to the promotion of training, the district's mass art troupes sent to participate in competitions all won high prizes."
