Ngoc Lac speeds up construction progress of public investment projects

From the beginning of 2024, Ngoc Lac district has focused on implementing solutions to speed up the progress of public investment projects and works carried over from the previous year and newly implemented projects in the area to promote the disbursement progress of public investment capital according to the set plan.

In late May 2024, taking advantage of favorable weather, Ngoc Lac district actively urged contractors to focus on human resources and machinery to speed up the construction progress of the Project to Upgrade the Road from Quang Trung - Ngoc Lien - Ngoc Son - Ngoc Trung - Lam Son Commune (Ngoc Lac) to Tho Lap Commune (Tho Xuan). The completion of the project will contribute to creating favorable conditions for people's travel, meeting transportation needs in the area, increasing traffic capacity on the route, facilitating trade of goods, developing the socio-economy, and gradually completing the regional traffic infrastructure.

According to the Ngoc Lac District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the project is currently focusing on implementing the construction of project items to ensure the scale of level IV - mountainous roads (according to TCVN 4054-2005), including: Renovating and upgrading the road with a total length of 20.6km with a roadbed width of 7.5m; road surface width of 5.5m; construction of longitudinal drainage system, cross drainage system, traffic safety system... Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Director of the Ngoc Lac District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, said: The project to upgrade the road from Quang Trung - Ngoc Lien - Ngoc Son - Ngoc Trung - Lam Son commune (Ngoc Lac) to Tho Lap commune (Tho Xuan) has a total investment of 167 billion VND. Of which, public investment capital managed by the province is 85 billion VND; district budget capital and other legally mobilized sources are 82 billion VND. The project started construction in August 2023. Currently, the contractor is focusing on machinery and resources to speed up the construction progress to ensure the set plan. As of May 25, 2024, the project implementation progress reached about 45% of the project value. According to the Director of the Ngoc Lac District Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the progress of implementing the transitional projects of 2023 and the preparation for investment in new projects in 2024 were deployed by Ngoc Lac District from the beginning of the year. To facilitate the construction units of the projects, the Ngoc Lac District Investment and Construction Project Management Board has disbursed funds for the projects immediately after the investment capital plan was assigned.

Implementing Plan No. 06/KH-UBND, dated January 5, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee on site clearance for investment projects using land in the province in 2024, Ngoc Lac district has 6 investment projects with a total site clearance area of 55.31 hectares. Of which, 3 are public investment projects with a site clearance area of 11.55 hectares; the number of enterprise investment projects is 3 projects with a site clearance area of 43.76 hectares. By May 15, 2024, Ngoc Lac district has paid compensation, support, and site clearance for 4 projects with an area of 28.8 hectares, reaching 52.1% of the plan. Determining that site clearance and handover have a direct impact on the progress of project implementation and disbursement of public investment capital, Ngoc Lac district has resolutely implemented site clearance for projects and achieved high results, such as: Ngoc Lac urban infrastructure improvement project has a total recovered area of 169,572.4m2 and has recovered 136,534m2, reaching 80.52%. Ngoc Lac urban embellishment project has a total recovered area of 354,168.5m2 and has recovered 266,897.2m2, reaching 75.3% of the site clearance volume...

In 2024, Ngoc Lac district will deploy basic construction investment for 179 projects (140 projects from previous years will be carried over to 2024 and 39 new projects will be implemented in 2024), with a total approved investment of more than 2,490 billion VND. By May 2024, Ngoc Lac district had approved the results of contractor selection for the projects of Kien Tho Kindergarten classrooms and Kien Tho 2 Primary School classrooms, Kien Tho commune; the project to repair and upgrade Mui Trau lake, Ngoc Lien commune. At the same time, the plan to select contractors for projects to repair and renovate the traffic route from Provincial Road 518D to Provincial Road 516B, Cao Thinh commune; the project to repair and renovate items of Dong Thinh Primary and Secondary School, Dong Thinh commune... was approved.

Currently, Ngoc Lac district is focusing on urging investors, project management boards, and contractors to speed up the implementation progress and disburse projects according to plan. Along with that, urging specialized agencies and consulting units to promptly complete documents and procedures to submit to competent authorities for consideration and approval of projects according to regulations. In addition, Ngoc Lac district's Construction Investment Project Management Board regularly inspects and promptly reports to the District People's Committee to resolve difficulties and problems in the process of implementing projects in the area.
