Promote propaganda on plastic waste prevention and control

The plan is implemented to raise the knowledge, awareness and responsibility of cadres, women's union members and the community in the work of preventing and combating environmental pollution caused by plastic waste, contributing to environmental protection and sustainable economic development. At the same time, promote propaganda and mobilize people and women not to use disposable plastic products and hard-to-decompose nylon bags, and replace them with reusable, environmentally friendly products.

The Women's Union of Van Gia town, Van Ninh district implements the program "Exchange plastic waste for breakfast".

The targets for implementation in 2025 include: 100% of households of association officials and over 85% of households of women's association members have access to basic knowledge about environmental protection, changing from awareness to specific actions to gradually limit and eliminate the use of disposable plastic items and hard-to-decompose nylon bags, replacing them with environmentally friendly products; 100% of households of association officials and 80% of households of association members and women have a trash can to ensure environmental hygiene; 100% of association bases launch campaigns to collect and clean up rivers, beaches, and residential areas in the area; 100% of association bases build new or maintain effective operations of at least 1 model on good implementation of environmental protection and the "Anti-plastic waste" movement, suitable to local conditions. In addition, mobilize 70% of production and business establishments owned by women to commit to implementing the "Anti-plastic waste" movement; mobilize 20% of production and business establishments to sign a commitment to use environmentally friendly products, replacing nylon bags and plastic products in production and business.
