The "Spring Train" departs from Hanoi station tonight - December 29th, reserving a community carriage, inviting passengers to celebrate New Year's Eve with many unique activities.
During the inspection of transportation and safety during Tet yesterday (January 27), Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Danh Huy experienced one of the unique activities that the railway has put into service for passengers on train SE1, which will depart from Hanoi station tonight (January 28, 2025, the 29th day of the 12th lunar month), pass through New Year's Eve and arrive at Saigon station on the morning of the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year 2025: The community carriage is decorated with many folk cultural motifs, imbued with the traditional Tet atmosphere. After just a few minutes, the artists finished sketching and signed autographs for the delegates. This was one of the unique activities that the artists gave to passengers throughout the train journey.
Vietnam Railways Corporation said that, grasping the shifting trend, instead of celebrating the traditional Tet at home, many families choose to travel together and experience many interesting things in the first days of the new year, the railway organized two trains named "Spring Train" with the journey from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa, going through New Year's Eve.
In each train, there is a uniquely designed community car with the exterior painted with paintings related to traditional Tet cultural activities such as flower markets, calligraphy, tug of war games, wrestling, etc.
The outside of the carriage is painted by artists to recreate folk cultural activities during Tet.
The interior of the carriages is designed with peach and apricot blossoms, symbolizing Tet in the North and South, and is a check-in point on the train. These two community carriages are also where community cultural activities take place throughout the journey.
Passengers on this train will be able to participate in many interesting and attractive experiences throughout the journey such as: Countdown with the train crew, welcome New Year's Eve on the train; participate in folk games; enjoy typical Tet dishes.
Artist Truong Trong Quyen, one of the artists who participated in designing, drawing, and decorating this train car, excitedly said that he will join the "Spring Train" journey through New Year's Eve. For him, this is an extremely interesting and meaningful experience. In the photo: Mr. Quyen "shows off" his sketch of a passenger.
In particular, passengers will have the opportunity to participate in a "mobile" creative camp on the train with artists from all three regions of the North - Central - South, have the opportunity to receive portrait drawings, participate in clay modeling, and draw with artists on the first day of the new year...
