Suspected mother jumped off bridge with 4 year old child

(NLDO) – The bodies of a woman and her 4-year-old son were found hugging each other, suspected of committing suicide by jumping off a bridge.

On the evening of December 22, a leader of the People's Committee of Quang Dien commune (Krong Ana district, Dak Lak province) said that authorities had recovered the bodies of a mother and child from the Krong Ana river.

"At around 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, the forces recovered the bodies of the mother and child, about 4 km from the suspected bridge jumping point" - the leader of the commune People's Committee informed.

Previously, at around 11:00 a.m. on December 21, the authorities of Quang Dien commune received information about a suspected suicide by jumping off a bridge at the Krong Ana river (through village 11, Quang Dien commune).

At the scene, on the bridge there was a motorbike and sandals of women and children.

Through information exploitation, the authorities determined that Ms. NTP (33 years old, residing in Quang Dien commune) and her 4-year-old son were missing.

Immediately afterwards, the forces coordinated to use canoes, small boats and many other means to search for Ms. P and her child.

By this afternoon, after many hours of searching, the authorities had recovered the bodies of Ms. P. and her child, hugging each other tightly.
