Nghe An: Highlights on January 26

* On the morning of January 26, in Vinh City, a high-ranking delegation from Savannakhet Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic visited and extended New Year greetings to Nghe An Province.

Reviewing the very good friendship and cooperation between the two localities, Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy emphasized: Comrade Bun-chom U-bon-pa-sot led a delegation from Sa Van Na Khet province to visit and wish the Vietnamese people a happy traditional New Year, further affirming the special, warm and close ties between the two provinces; creating a solid foundation to continue promoting comprehensive cooperation in all fields.

* In the afternoon of the same day, comrade Thai Thanh Quy received a delegation of senior leaders of Bolikhamxay province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, who came to visit and celebrate the traditional New Year.

* On the morning of January 26, Nghe An Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Minister of Public Security on personnel work. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong - Head of Vinh City Police was appointed by the Minister of Public Security to hold the position of Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police.

At the ceremony, authorized by the Minister of Public Security, Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Director of the Provincial Police Department presented the Decision of the Minister of Public Security to appoint Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong as Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police Department.

* On the morning of January 26, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated with SABECO to organize the program "Sharing Tet, prosperous year of the dragon" in Dien Chau district; visited and presented gifts to Squadron 137, Phuc Tho commune, Nghi Loc district and Border Guard Station of Dien Thanh commune, Dien Chau district.

* Nghe An is experiencing a severe cold spell. This weather has negatively affected the health of patients. To ensure the health of patients, medical examination and treatment facilities in the province have implemented many measures to prevent and combat the cold.

Nghe An General Hospital said: The hospital has organized cold prevention and control work right from the Examination Department and the Emergency Department. At these two departments, when receiving patients, doctors try to quickly carry out the reception procedures; confirm early whether the patient is cold or not to take measures to keep the patient warm. The Emergency Department arranges a warm enough room to keep the patient.
