Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri presents Tet gifts to poor households in Da Nang

Party Central Committee Secretary and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri presented Lunar New Year gifts to 240 poor households and workers in difficult circumstances in Da Nang.


Implementing the working program of the leaders of the Party, State, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the occasion of the New Year of At Ty 2025, on the afternoon of January 14, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri and the working delegation visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government, and people of Da Nang city.

Accompanying Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri were Member of the Presidium, Head of the Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Quynh Lien; Chief of the Office of the Supreme People's Court Luong Van Viet.

Welcoming the delegation and attending the gift-giving ceremony were Central Party Committee member, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, and Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung.

Within the framework of the working program, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Le Van Trung presented 240 Lunar New Year gifts for the year of the Snake 2025 (each gift includes 1,000,000 VND and a gift worth 300,000 VND) to poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances and workers and laborers in difficult circumstances in Da Nang.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City Le Van Trung said that the city currently has 4,584 poor households, accounting for 1.53% and 2,291 near-poor households, accounting for 0.76% (according to Da Nang City standards).

Implementing the policy of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Da Nang City Party Committee; every year, the government, the Front and the city's organizations have plans to take care of Tet for poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances and vulnerable groups in society.

This year, Da Nang plans to spend more than 126 billion VND to support Tet gifts (more than 7.4 billion VND from the central budget, more than 108.4 billion VND from the city budget, and more than 10.2 billion VND from the city's "For the Poor" Fund).

From the “For the Poor” Fund, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city supported Tet gifts for 20,346 cases with a total amount of more than 10.2 billion VND; presented 423 gifts to ethnic minority households of Co Tu in 2 communes of Hoa Phu, Hoa Bac and Vietnamese households of Chinese origin in Hoa Ninh commune.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, along with sending New Year wishes to the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang, sharing the temporary difficulties of poor households, extremely poor households, workers and laborers in difficult circumstances; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri affirmed: The Party, the State and the Fatherland Front always pay attention to social security work, especially during the Tet holiday.

According to Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Le Minh Tri: Da Nang has been given special mechanisms by the National Assembly and the Government, which are opportunities for faster development, but in reality, there are still poor households and people in difficult circumstances, so the development process of Da Nang must go hand in hand with social security policies, opening up job opportunities for all people to have stable and sustainable income, becoming a bright spot of the country.
