Nghe An: Highlights on May 25

* In the working program on the morning of May 25 and the first half of the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the Report of the Supervisory Delegation and the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on the results of the thematic supervision of "the implementation of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-economic Recovery and Development Program and the resolutions of the National Assembly on a number of important national projects until the end of 2023".

At the working session, National Assembly deputies agreed that Resolution 43 on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program is a correct and timely decision, contributing significantly to the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and the recovery and development of the socio-economy.

* On the morning of May 25, in Con Cuong district, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized the Launching Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

The 2024 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign is implemented according to youth groups with 1 program and 4 sub-campaigns including: "Supporting exam season" program, "Green Summer" volunteer campaign, "Red Flamboyant" volunteer campaign, "Pink vacation" volunteer campaign and "Green march" volunteer campaign taking place from April to the end of August, with the motto of widespread - safe - effective - sustainable.

* On the morning of May 25, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held the opening ceremony of the 30th Nghe An Provincial Youth Informatics Contest, 2024.

The Youth Informatics Competition is an annual activity of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, aiming to create a healthy and useful playground and favorable conditions for students to have the opportunity to exchange and learn from each other's experiences in studying. This year, 280 candidates participated in the competition.

* Currently, localities in the province are closely following the process of arranging administrative units at district and commune levels to implement the plan on schedule. However, officials and people still have some concerns and worries that require active participation from all levels and sectors.

Some opinions suggested that the province and district need to clearly develop plans and roadmaps for arranging cadres and civil servants, in which attention should be paid to selecting and arranging heads of Party committees and authorities of communes after the merger to ensure that the right people are selected with qualifications, capacity, awareness, responsibility, dedication to the locality and truly care for the people's lives.

* Dien Chau district police successfully arrested a young man who robbed 2 Iphone 14 Pro max phones at a phone store in the district.

At around 12:00 on May 23, a man about 20 years old came to the NT Mobile phone store located on National Highway 1A (next to Nguyen Xuan On High School) in Hamlet 8, Dien Thanh Commune (Dien Chau).

The young man entered the store pretending to buy a phone. As soon as the employee brought out the phone, the young man used a weapon to threaten and control the store employee and robbed 2 Iphone 14 Promax phones. After committing the crime, the suspect took the evidence and ran away.
