Nghe An: Highlights on November 10

* On the morning of November 10, in the working program at the 6th Session, the 15th National Assembly approved the State budget estimate for 2024. After listening to the Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh present the Report on explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Resolution on the State budget estimate for 2024, the National Assembly proceeded to vote.

The National Assembly decided that from July 1, 2024, the comprehensive reform of wage policy will be implemented according to Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW dated May 21, 2018 of the 7th Conference of the 12th Central Executive Committee (funding for wage reform is guaranteed from the accumulated wage reform source of the central budget, local budgets and a part arranged in the State budget balance expenditure estimate).

The National Assembly also assigned the Government to consider and decide on the allocation from the 2023 central budget reserve in accordance with the provisions of law to continue implementing, soon completing and putting into use the Nam Mo River embankment project, section through block 4, block 5, Muong Xen town, Ky Son district, Nghe An province.

* During the working program in the United States, on the morning of November 9 (local time), the Nghe An Provincial Delegation had a working session with the US-ASEAN Business Council.

At the meeting, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung introduced the general geographical location, natural conditions, potentials, strengths of Nghe An in attracting investment and the province's support policies, the province's needs in attracting investment. Currently, Nghe An province has prepared the most favorable conditions in terms of planning, essential infrastructure, investment premises, human resources and administrative procedure support for investors when coming to learn about and invest in Nghe An.

Previously, the Nghe An Provincial Delegation had a working session with the US Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).

* On the afternoon of November 10, Nghe An Newspaper solemnly held a Seminar to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of its founding (November 10, 1961 - November 10, 2023). On this occasion, Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Government for its outstanding units in the emulation movement in 2022. The Organizing Committee also presented awards to the authors whose works won the "Golden Moment" Press Photo Contest and the 12th Nghe An Newspaper Video Clip Contest - 2023.

* On the morning of November 10, the Organizing Committee of the "Solidarity Day" Program of Nghe An province held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Square named after him, in Vinh city.

In front of Uncle Ho's Statue, the Organizing Committee of the "Solidarity Day" Program of Nghe An province respectfully reported to President Ho Chi Minh about the "Solidarity Day" activities organized for the first time by Nghe An province at the provincial level in Vinh city, from November 10 to 12, 2023.
