By March 31, 2025, complete the general inventory of public assets at agencies, units and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State.

This afternoon, August 20, the Ministry of Finance held an online conference to deploy the general inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, units, and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State.

At the conference, Deputy Minister of Finance Bui Van Khang informed that on March 1, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 213/QD-TTg (Decision 213) approving the project of General inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, units, and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State.

The project aims to grasp the current status of these assets in terms of quantity, value, structure, current usage status... as a basis for perfecting policies and laws on management and use of public assets; serving the development of strategies and plans for socio-economic development; serving the work of reporting on the management and use of public assets, providing information to prepare state financial reports, reports on thrift practice, and anti-waste according to regulations.

According to Decision 213, the target is to complete the general inventory by March 31, 2025 and complete the report and announce the inventory results by July 31, 2025. The scope of the general inventory includes public assets at agencies, organizations and units as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 4 of the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets that meet the criteria of fixed assets, including: working headquarters, public service facilities (including land use rights), cars, special fixed assets, other assets and 18 types of infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State (excluding assets for which the State partially supports funding and materials for construction investment).

At the conference, representatives of the Department of Public Asset Management introduced inventory record forms, inventory result reports, how to determine asset value indicators in prescribed forms and templates, subjects performing inventory and synthesizing results reports...
