This was affirmed by Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation, at the 2024 Tax - Customs Forum, with the theme "Tax - Customs Reform for Sustainable Business Development" held on the afternoon of October 16. Mr. Mai Son also emphasized that the above goal is reflected in all activities on reforming tax policy institutions and tax management of the industry.
Mr. Son also informed that according to statistics from the General Department of Taxation, currently, the rate of enterprises using online tax declaration services is 99.95%; enterprises using electronic tax payment services is 99.2%; the rate of enterprises making electronic tax refunds is 99%; 100% of enterprises and organizations have switched to using electronic invoices. The above results are the efforts and clearest evidence of the reform, modernization and digital transformation of the tax sector for the development of enterprises.
Assessing the world economy and politics in the recent period, the Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation stated that the instability arising from conflicts and geopolitical struggles among major countries has caused the world to face many difficulties and challenges, causing negative impacts on the sustainable growth of the whole world and has also significantly affected the Vietnamese economy because our economy has a fairly large openness in the international arena.
Faced with the complicated situation of the world and forecasting the impacts and impacts on the Vietnamese economy, from the beginning of 2024, the Government and the Prime Minister have resolutely directed ministries, branches and localities to focus on implementing Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP on key tasks and solutions to implement the Socio-Economic Development Plan and State Budget Estimates for 2024; Resolution No. 02/NQ-CP on key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness in 2024.
The Deputy Director General of the General Department of Taxation said that timely decisions, especially policies to support, extend, and reduce taxes in the tax sector, have helped people and businesses restore production and business and develop strongly again. These are the prerequisites for the country's socio-economic development to continue on a positive recovery trend, helping businesses survive and develop.
