On the evening of October 4, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a document directing the Department of Health, the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Management Board; People's Committees of districts and Thu Duc City to strengthen measures to promptly prevent food poisoning cases in the city.

Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Food Safety Management Board to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Health and relevant units to continue monitoring, urgently investigating, assessing the cause of poisoning, updating developments in food poisoning cases occurring in Thu Duc City; focusing on measures to prevent and avoid similar poisoning incidents in the city; promptly reporting the results to the City People's Committee.

In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the development of specific and easy-to-understand analytical articles on food poisoning prevention, thereby promoting information dissemination to people, raising awareness of responsibility for ensuring food safety in food production, trading and use.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to direct hospitals treating food poisoning patients to closely monitor the patient's condition, actively treat them, and ensure their safety. The Thu Duc City People's Committee coordinated with relevant agencies to conduct investigations and promptly resolve food safety incidents occurring in the area, limiting the impact on consumers' health. Districts and towns coordinated with relevant units to strengthen inspection and supervision to strictly manage food safety in the locality, promptly detect and strictly handle violations of food safety.
