This year's action month has the theme "Ensuring food safety, focusing on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services and street food". The implementation period is from April 15 to May 15, 2025 nationwide.

The plan was issued to promote propaganda, education, raise awareness, identify responsibilities and actions of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and people in ensuring security and food safety.

Promote the role and responsibility of organizations, individuals and businesses in enforcing food safety laws; promptly provide information on safe, high-quality agricultural and food value chains, and establishments that violate and pose potential risks to food safety and security.

In particular, the Plan is issued to strengthen inspection, examination and supervision of food safety and security work; resolutely combat, prevent and strictly handle organizations, individuals, production and business establishments that violate food safety regulations, especially food service establishments, collective kitchens and street food.

In addition, through the Action Month, we want to highlight the role of authorities at all levels, management agencies, social organizations and consumer supervision in compliance with food safety laws for individuals and food production and trading establishments.

In addition, the Plan also aims to improve the capacity to prevent and proactively handle food poisoning and food-borne diseases at establishments with collective kitchens, food service businesses, and street food; and reduce poisoning caused by consumption of unsafe food.

Accordingly, the Central Steering Committee for Food Safety assigned the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Environment, and Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to organize 5 interdisciplinary inspection teams to inspect 10 provinces and cities.

In which, group 1: Food Safety Department, Ministry of Health presided, coordinated with the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention Police (Ministry of Public Security), 1 unit (Ministry of Industry and Trade), 1 unit under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Testing Institute under the Ministry of Health to inspect in 2 provinces/cities: Ho Chi Minh and Binh Phuoc.

Group No. 2: Inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment presided over, coordinated with the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention Police (Ministry of Public Security), 1 unit (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), 1 unit (Ministry of Industry and Trade), testing unit (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) to inspect in 2 provinces/cities: Quang Binh, Quang Tri.

Group No. 3: Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment presided over, coordinated with 1 unit under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security), 1 unit (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), 1 testing unit (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) to inspect in 2 localities: Hanoi and Bac Giang.

Group No. 4: 1 unit (Ministry of Industry and Trade) presided over, coordinated with 1 unit (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (Ministry of Public Security), 1 unit (Ministry of Industry and Trade), testing unit under the Ministry of Industry and Trade inspected in 2 provinces: Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan.

Group No. 5: 1 unit (Ministry of Industry and Trade) presided over, coordinated with 1 unit under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, 1 unit (Ministry of Science and Technology), Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control Police (Ministry of Public Security), testing unit (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to inspect in 2 provinces/cities: Dien Bien and Lai Chau.

In addition to the 5 Central interdisciplinary delegations, the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Environment, and Industry and Trade assigned functional units to conduct surprise inspections in provinces and cities to effectively implement the Action Month.
