(Dan Tri) - Tue Duc Primary and Secondary School has just had a quick report about the suspicion that many students vomited and had diarrhea after a snack at school.
According to the report, at 7:45 a.m. on March 26, the homeroom teacher of class 1P6 received information from the parents that 2 students had symptoms of nausea and diarrhea, so the family took the children to the hospital for examination. After going to the hospital for examination, the conclusion was suspected of food poisoning.

At 8:40 a.m. on March 26, after breakfast, the school received two more cases at the school with similar symptoms. These two students were also taken to the hospital for examination and then returned to class as usual.
At noon on March 26, the school held a meeting with the Board of Directors, medical staff, admissions staff, and homeroom teachers of the students involved.
Through information gathering, the report noted that 2 students at home and 2 students at school showed signs of suspected food poisoning; the remaining 34 students showed symptoms of either headaches/vomiting/diarrhea after eating at school. Of these, 5 students had confirmed abdominal pain in preparation for menstruation.
As of 4:00 p.m. on March 26, except for 2 students who stayed at home and 1 student who asked to go home for family monitoring, the remaining 35 students (no hospitalizations) were in stable health and have returned to class to study normally.
The school's report shows that the suspected food poisoning (lunch/afternoon snack on March 25 and morning of March 26) was provided by the industrial kitchen supplier Haxeca Mekong.
The school has taken 4 food samples for testing.
Reporting information, on the afternoon of March 26, the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City went to the school to work, check the status, records and preliminary processing procedures in the school kitchen and grasp the situation of students suspected of poisoning.
Through inspection, Haxeca Mekong facility ensures hygiene, employees perform preliminary processing with labor protection, update 3-step book and store samples according to regulations.
Regarding the handling direction, the school will coordinate with the Parents' Representative Board to continue to strengthen inspection and supervision of meal providers, ensuring meal quality and safety for students; the school will strengthen inspection of food quality, processing procedures, environmental hygiene, processing tools, and students' eating utensils.
Coordinate with local authorities in ensuring security and order for street vendors in front of school gates.
Instruct schools to regularly update students' health status, especially those absent from school and those showing signs of vomiting and stomachache.
In addition to the above basis, the report of Tam Tue Duc Primary - Secondary School (in the same Tue Duc school system) at Nguyen Thi Dinh campus, Thu Duc City also showed that the school received from parents 7 cases of stomachache, asking to stay home for monitoring.
The school has taken food samples from the afternoon meal on March 25 and sent them for testing.
