Which school do you want to study as an interpreter?

Currently in our country, there is no major in training English translators/interpreters and no university organizes a separate exam for this major. Therefore, you can only apply for English majors, then learn more skills and knowledge of interpretation.

The University of Foreign Languages ​​(Vietnam National University, Hanoi) is one of the schools with the top benchmark scores for English language majors in the country. In 2023, with the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the English language major of the school will have a benchmark score of 35.55, admission based on 3 exam subject groups D01; D78; D90.

The estimated tuition fee for the English language major is 35,000,000 VND/school year, and the tuition fee does not change each school year.

Foreign Trade University - in 2021, the benchmark score for English Language is 37.55 points. In 2022, the benchmark score for this major is 36.4 points. In 2023, the school set the benchmark score for English Language nearly 9 points lower than the previous year (27.5 points).

Foreign Trade University only uses one subject combination for admission, which is D01.

University of Foreign Languages ​​(Hue University) trains English language in 5 main majors: English Interpretation, English Translation, English Literature, English Tourism, and English Primary Education.

In 2023, this industry will recruit based on 3 exam subject groups D01; D14; D15, with the admission standard score being 19.5 points.

If you are studying a completely different major, unrelated to English, you can still work as an English interpreter. However, after graduation, you must attend short-term interpreting training courses at reputable interpreting training centers.
