Mr. David Albon emphasized: "This is truly a great achievement, especially when we compare it with students of high-end international schools in countries like Dubai, China... Although they have a strong team of native teachers, many international students from English-speaking countries, and a full-time program. Meanwhile, Vietnamese students study both programs: integrated English and the national general education program.
And with the conclusion 91 of the Vietnamese Politburo on gradually making English the second language in schools, we can see that the integrated English program is a leading example in improving the quality of education in Vietnam," said Mr. David Albon.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "The integrated English program has been approved by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to be implemented under Project 5695 "Teaching and learning Math, Science and English integrating the English and Vietnamese programs" since 2014.
Up to now, this program has gone through a 10-year development journey. It can be said that this is a breakthrough project in improving English proficiency for students in Ho Chi Minh City.
Especially when we do not just teach English as a normal foreign language. We teach Math and Science in English according to a high-quality curriculum, scientifically integrated between the Vietnamese general education program and the British program.
From there, students can enjoy the superiority of both education systems, with the output being internationally recognized certificates, typically the Pearson Edexcel international certificate.
The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said: "Over time, we are pleased to see that Vietnamese students are increasingly demonstrating their academic ability. The proof is that students participating in the Pearson Edexcel 2024 certification exam continue to achieve many outstanding achievements compared to the region and the world.
This result affirms the quality of the integrated English program and the right direction of the city's education sector in improving English proficiency and subjects taught in English."

According to Mr. Hieu: "Recently, the Politburo issued Conclusion 91 and the Education Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045. One of the key tasks set out in Conclusion 91 is to gradually make English the second language in schools. The successful implementation of the integrated English program over the past 10 years has demonstrated the strategic vision of Ho Chi Minh City's leaders.
In addition, the achievements of students in international certification exams today are also one of the proofs of the effectiveness of the program. This result serves as a basis for continuing to expand the application of the program, realizing the direction of Conclusion 91 to make English the second language in schools" - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City affirmed.
Training staff and promoting technology application
"During the process of implementing the Integrated English program in Ho Chi Minh City, the close guidance of the relevant agencies and the trust of parents and students are the driving forces for us to grow further.
In the future, through strengthening international cooperation, constantly training staff, and promoting the application of technology, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution 57 of the Politburo, we believe that the program will continue to record more positive results, contributing positively to the implementation of Conclusion 91 to make English the second language in schools and bring the most practical benefits to many generations of Vietnamese students."
