In a post on the occasion of Marouane Fellaini's retirement at the age of 37, coach Jose Mourinho said the midfielder will always be a part of his memories.
"I will never forget the players who gave their all for me," Mourinho wrote on Instagram . "Fellaini is and will always be part of my memories. Congratulations on your career, and give those two ankles a rest after suffering so much."

Fellaini is 1.94 m tall, famous for his curly hair when he played in the Premier League for Everton and Man Utd from 2008 to 2019. He had to miss many matches due to ankle injuries, such as half of 2010 and 2011 at Everton, or more than a month of injury at Man Utd in 2014.
Fellaini announced his retirement on February 3, after five years playing in China for Shandong Taishan. He ended an 18-year professional career, with nine trophies. He played 66 games for clubs and the Belgian national team, scoring 135 goals. Mourinho also commented on Fellaini's announcement with two heart emojis and a crying face.
Fellaini played under Mourinho from 2016 to 2018 at Man Utd, when the two won three trophies together, the League Cup, Community Shield and Europa League. Mourinho once said that Fellaini was not Diego Maradona, but could play in any position. "He can play as a centre-back, striker or central midfielder," the Portuguese coach said in 2018. "Fellaini is very important in the penalty area, whether for his team or the opposition."
Fellaini is known for his aerial ability, headers and chest control. He has scored 37 goals in the Premier League, in 260 games. The Belgian midfielder also has a good relationship with Mourinho, as well as other coaches at Man Utd such as David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. When Mourinho was sacked by Man Utd in December 2018, Fellaini also said that the team's leadership was too hasty.
