As a platform that contributes to promoting the digitalization of university admission fee payment, MoMo has helped many parents and candidates have a more convenient experience when participating in this year's admissions.
Specifically, the QR code scanning method using MoMo has helped applicants save time and avoid errors because they do not need to manually enter account number information, authentication code or OTP code like some other channels. This method also helps candidates ask relatives to pay the fee for them conveniently and quickly.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the first round of university admission registration for 2023 ended on July 30, 2023, with the total number of university admission candidates being more than 660,000, equivalent to 66% of the number of candidates registering for the high school graduation exam, an increase compared to last year (last year was 64%). Proportional to the number of candidates registering for university this year, the proportion of fees paid by MoMo also increased by 125,450 transactions compared to last year.
In addition to being a payment channel for university entrance fees, MoMo is currently providing a widespread online tuition payment service at all levels from kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, high school to continuing education center and university. Up to now, MoMo has also successfully implemented tuition payment at nearly 4,260 schools, including major partners such as Jetpay (about 3,000 schools); SSC (about 1,100 schools); Yschool (100 schools) and a number of other universities nationwide.
