Invitation to attend the Green Export Promotion Forum 2024

Promoting green exports aims to discuss ideas, solutions and methods to support Vietnamese enterprises in sustainable development and increase green exports.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the context of increasing global interest in sustainable development, Vietnam has made strong commitments to reducing emissions. However, the green transition journey also poses many challenges for developing countries like Vietnam. Green economy and green growth are inevitable and irreversible trends, and it is time to take strong and effective actions to realize those declarations and commitments.

Accordingly, in order to discuss ideas, solutions and methods to support Vietnamese enterprises in sustainable development and enhance competitiveness through green export, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organizes the 2024 Export Promotion Forum with the theme "Promoting green export" to discuss ideas, solutions and methods to support Vietnamese enterprises in sustainable development and enhance competitiveness through green export.

The 2024 Export Promotion Forum with the theme “Promoting green exports” will take place on December 4.

In addition, the Green Export Promotion Forum 2024 is organized to create a dialogue channel and consult with many stakeholders to shape and identify difficulties and opportunities in green trade development, propose solutions and support policies for green trade. On the other hand, this is also an opportunity to share practical experiences of pioneering enterprises in green production, sustainable export development, and meet the global green consumption trend.

The Green Export Promotion Forum 2024 is organized by the Department of Trade Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in coordination with projects supported by the Swiss Government. The forum is expected to have the participation of more than 300 delegates, including leaders of ministries, sectors, localities, embassies, international organizations in Vietnam, associations and businesses.

The Export Promotion Forum is organized annually by the Department of Trade Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade). This year's forum will be divided into the following contents:

Update on sustainable export trends and opportunities; policies, management and experience in green transformation; unlocking resources for green growth and sustainable development - some recommendations for Vietnam.

Green transformation is associated with digital transformation; emission reduction and energy transformation; green and sustainable agricultural economy. Sharing practical experiences from businesses that have been and are implementing green transformation.

Experts will provide information, answer questions and support businesses in the green transition and export promotion process.

Expected consulting content includes: Policies to support green manufacturing enterprises; green standards and international certifications; digital transformation in production; green technology and solutions in logistics to develop sustainable supply chains; financial solutions for green investment enterprises.

Green production, green export, green growth are contemporary economic development issues that have been frequently mentioned recently. Therefore, the information exchanged at the forum is not only useful for Vietnamese enterprises to build and develop production and business strategies to meet market requirements and trends, but also suggests many directions and solutions for central and local state management agencies, industry associations in promoting carbon neutrality initiatives, circular economy, and improving the ability to provide support activities for the business community towards the sustainability of the supply chain in the coming time.

In addition, organizing the forum contributes to the successful implementation of the goals set out in the National Strategy on Green Growth for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

The forum will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on December 4, 2024 (Wednesday). The expected location is at du Parc Hotel, 84 Tran Nhan Tong, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi.
