Bringing a warm and united Tet to Ha Tinh workers

With the motto "all workers have Tet", Ha Tinh trade unions at all levels are actively preparing the necessary conditions to organize the meaningful and warm "Tet Sum Vay" 2024 program.

Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, from the beginning of the 11th lunar month, the Ha Tinh Provincial Confederation of Labor has issued a plan with many key contents.

In particular, trade unions at all levels in the province will focus on mobilizing resources, coordinating with professionals, Party committees, and authorities to call for money and goods to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances during Tet.

Along with that, the grassroots trade union balances the annual revenue, regular expenditure and the unit's operating fund, the same-level trade union Social Fund appropriately to take care of union members and workers. Up to now, the units are actively implementing related tasks to bring union members and workers a warm and united Tet holiday.

The Provincial Economic Zones Trade Union will coordinate with grassroots trade unions to organize many meaningful activities for workers during Tet such as: free bus trips, gift giving, financial support for house construction...

Managing 72 grassroots unions with nearly 10,000 union members, the "Tet Sum Vay" program is always the core activity and highlight of the year for the Provincial Economic Zones Union. After a year of many negative impacts on production and business activities, mobilizing resources to take care of Tet for union members and workers is quite difficult.

However, annual activities such as organizing the "Tet Sum Vay" program, supporting funding for housing construction, giving gifts to disadvantaged workers, arranging buses to take workers home for Tet... are still given top priority by the Provincial Economic Zones Trade Union and grassroots trade unions of enterprises, and are carefully and methodically prepared.

“This time, the Trade Union has also strengthened coordination and dialogue with professionals to implement salary and bonus policies for workers in accordance with regulations; ensure conditions and policies for workers on duty during Tet; propagate for workers to comply, ensure security and order before, during and after Tet; encourage workers to return to work on time as prescribed,” added Chairman of the Trade Union of Economic Zones of the province Nguyen Duc Thach.

Huong Khe District Labor Federation conducted a survey to complete the proposal for the Trade Union Social Fund to support funding for the construction and repair of "trade union shelters".

Localities and units are urgently completing documents to propose to higher-level trade unions to consider supporting union members in accordance with regulations.

In addition to the "Tet Sum Vay" program organized by the superior trade union, the grassroots trade unions of enterprises will also carry out meaningful activities to express gratitude to employees who have accompanied and stuck with the enterprise during a difficult year.

Workers of Haivina Hong Linh Company Limited will participate in the "Tet Sum Vay" 2024 program organized by the company's union.

Chairwoman of Haivina Hong Linh Company's Trade Union Vo Thi Tam said: "In addition to supervising the full payment of salaries and bonuses to workers, the company's trade union also coordinates with experts to mobilize resources to organize Tet programs with contents such as: "Thank you meals for workers", giving gifts to workers in especially difficult circumstances... We hope that these activities will contribute to motivating and encouraging workers to continue to accompany the company in the new year".

With the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Sharing", this year's Tet program for workers is expected to be organized by trade unions at all levels in the province from January 21 to February 2, 2024. The activities will aim to ensure the rights of all union members and workers; enjoy the spring and welcome Tet economically, safely, bearing the mark and color of the trade union organization... The program will contribute to strengthening the trust of workers; motivating and encouraging workers to make efforts and accompany the development of agencies and businesses.
