In 2023, the Tourism Information Center (Vietnam National Administration of Tourism) and the Maggi brand successfully implemented the project "Variation of thousands of ingredients, cooking millions of Vietnamese dishes" towards promoting Vietnamese tourism - cuisine - culture.

Accordingly, many meaningful activities have been carried out, including: promoting communication and applying technology to support the promotion of culinary tourism, organizing events, participating in culinary festivals, etc. In particular, one of the activities within the framework of the project has been certified by the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) as the record "Online map with the largest number of Vietnamese dishes contributed by the community".

Following the success of 2023, on October 1, 2024, the Tourism Information Center, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Maggi brand have just announced a series of activities for 2024 with the theme "Exploring golden ingredients, making Vietnamese cuisine famous". If 2023 is a journey to discover famous dishes on the Vietnamese culinary map; then in 2024, the program focuses on discovering "rough gems" - unique local ingredients that few people know about.

With a rich culinary culture, besides famous specialties, there are still many unique local ingredients and regional recipes that have not had the opportunity to be widely promoted. This year's theme "Exploring golden ingredients, making Vietnamese cuisine famous" is an opportunity for Maggi and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to join hands to spread the beauty and value of local ingredients to the community; thereby contributing to honoring the diversity of Vietnamese culinary culture. This is also the first highlight of the series of activities in 2024.

In addition, following the success of the online culinary map in 2023, the 2024 program will launch version 2.0 with an upgraded interface and features. This online map is expected to become a continuously updated culinary database, with ingredients and recipes contributed by the people themselves, thereby promoting the discovery of diverse regional cuisines without time or location restrictions, helping users understand and appreciate the cultural values ​​of Vietnam.

The next highlight of this year’s program is the participation of culinary content creators with a series of real-life experiences, bringing interesting stories about regional ingredients and dishes. The creators will accompany and inspire and promote local culture, cuisine, and tourism not only to the domestic community but also to international friends; as well as bring regional cuisine closer to young people.

Through that, we hope to promote local tourism with attractive culinary experiences, contributing to attracting tourists from all over the world to Vietnam”.
