On October 10, 2024, President To Lam signed Decision No. 1009/QD-CTN to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on 3 units, including the Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces, for their outstanding achievements in combat, combat service, and contribution to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. This is a noble title, recognizing the contributions and sacrifices of the Nghe An Provincial Armed Forces.
It is expected that the ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the renewal period and meet with retired and retired senior military officers in the area will take place in December 2024.

In order for the ceremony to be held solemnly, dignifiedly, regularly, safely and economically, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command requested agencies and units to do a good job of preparation, advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Military Party Committee to develop a plan; deploy a plan to ensure security and safety; closely coordinate with central and local press agencies to do a good job of propaganda before, during and after the ceremony.
