At around 9am this morning (October 1), while Mr. Moong Van Tu in Cha Ka 1 village, Bao Thang commune (Ky Son) was going into the mountain to find a water source for the villagers, he heard a rumbling sound from the top of the mountain.
Frightened, Mr. Tu ran away and discovered a torrent of mud and rocks pouring down the main road of Bao Thang commune. Knowing that a flash flood had occurred, Mr. Tu ran and shouted for people to stay away.
The incident lasted about 5-7 minutes, sweeping thousands of cubic meters of mud , soil and rocks down the stream. Fortunately, the flash flood did not affect people or property.
In recent days, heavy rain has occurred in Bao Thang commune as well as Ky Son district, causing landslides on many roads./.
