TPO - Near Lunar New Year, cherry blossoms in the border district of Ky Son (Nghe An) bloom again, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.
On the days leading up to Lunar New Year, Muong Tip 1 Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Pha Noi campus (Muong Tip commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An) is once again radiant with the pink color of cherry blossoms. |
More than 13 years ago, when the Pha Noi satellite school was established, teachers in the school went into the forest to find young cherry blossom trees to plant, creating a landscape in the school campus. |
The school is located in a mountainous commune with cool air, so after only a few years of planting, the cherry blossom trees are lush and blooming beautifully. |
Today, the cherry blossom trees planted at Pha Noi school have grown tall. Some trees are over 4m tall, with a canopy as wide as 10m. |
According to teachers at the school, cherry blossoms only bloom in spring and their blooming period is short, from 1-2 weeks. If the weather is cold, the flowers can bloom longer, up to 3 weeks. |
Cherry trees are blooming and showing off their colors, signaling the arrival of a new spring in the border district of Nghe An. |
Due to weather and soil conditions, cherry blossoms here have thick petals, dark pink pistils, and a light pink color that gradually spreads to the tips of the petals. |
Cherry blossoms bloom next to the pơmu wooden roofs of the Hmong people. When the wind blows, the petals fall on the roof, creating a beautiful romantic scene. |
"At the end of the year, spring is also the time when cherry blossoms bloom here. Everyone passing by the school stops to admire them, some even ask to come in to take pictures with the flowers," said a teacher at the school in Pha Noi village. |
