On November 24-25, Long An province organized Caravan Famtrips 2023 with the theme "Inviting you to Long An". The event attracted nearly 200 experts and travel and tourism businesses.
According to the Organizing Committee, Caravan Famtrip 2023 "Inviting you to Long An" is an activity to survey, promote, advertise, and join hands to develop tourism in Long An.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province, spoke at the announcement of the departure of the Caravan Famtrip 2023 program to Long An.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province, from the beginning of 2023 to now, tourists to Long An have reached more than 823,000 arrivals, up 49% over the same period, up 10% compared to the plan. Revenue reached about 476 billion VND, up 75% over the same period.
Caravan Famtrip 2023 "Inviting you to Long An" is considered the first tour organized in the province to promote tourism image.
Accordingly, the design of the caravan tour to the countryside, wishing to explore the values of Long An land. At the same time, taking advantage of the geographical location, terrain and tourism resources of Long An province to develop rural tourism products.
Mr. Thanh added that the Caravan Famtrip 2023 tour introduces tourist areas and destinations on the route of Long An province, and at the same time provides information for travel companies to develop tours, bringing visitors to Long An in the future.
Mr. Le Trung Tho, Chairman of the Saigon Le Business Club, said that Long An is located in the Mekong Delta region, in the key economic zone of the South, with rich potential for tourism development.
Outstanding in Long An's tourism development resources are agricultural products that have become brands, associated with each location such as Nang Thom rice of Dao market in Can Duoc district, Long Tri red watermelon, dragon fruit of Chau Thanh district, pineapple of Ben Luc district...
Mr. Tho suggested that to develop tourism well, the locality should prioritize tours to the river gardens and recreational activities such as team building. At the same time, the province should pay attention to infrastructure to attract investment and develop tourism in the province.

In addition, the delegation also visited Long An International Port, a prominent economic highlight of the province, and at the same time, a location with great potential for industrial tourism development in the coming time.
Before ending the trip, the delegation visited the Truong Van Bang Memorial Site. Here, the delegation presented 100 gifts to poor but studious students of Can Giuoc District. The total cost of the gifts was over 120 million VND contributed by individuals, units, and members of the delegation.
