The 6th expanded festival of "Practicing the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Vietnamese people" in Bac Giang province in 2025

On February 10-11, 2025, at Ha Temple, Suoi Mo Eco-tourism Area, Nghia Phuong Commune, Luc Nam District (Bac Giang), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of Luc Nam District to organize the 6th "Practice of the Vietnamese Mother Goddess Worship" Festival in Bac Giang Province in 2025. This is one of the main activities of the Bac Giang Province Culture-Tourism Week in 2025 with the theme "Sacred Tay Yen Tu".

Vice Chairman of Mai Son Provincial People's Committee; Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Quang Hai, presented flowers and souvenirs to artisans and bronze artists participating in the Festival.

Attending the opening ceremony were comrades: Mai Son, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Culture and Tourism Week 2025; Truong Quang Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Culture and Tourism Week 2025 - Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; Nguyen Si Cam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; Duong Cong Dinh, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Luc Nam District - Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; representatives of the Department of Cultural Heritage (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and related departments of the provinces: Ha Nam, Lang Son, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations of the province; departments and units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; People's Committee, Department of Culture and Information, Center for Culture, Information and Sports of districts, towns, cities, artisans, mediums and a large number of people and tourists from all over.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Quang Hai delivered the opening speech of the Festival.

The festival is held every two years and has become an event that attracts the attention and positive response of many people who love "The practice of worshipping the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms of the Vietnamese people". The festival is an activity contributing to the implementation of the 2003 UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the UNESCO Code of Ethics for the Protection and Promotion of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Law on Cultural Heritage and Decree No. 39/2024/ND-CP dated April 16, 2024 of the Government stipulating measures to manage, protect and promote the values of intangible cultural heritage in UNESCO lists and the list of national intangible cultural heritage .

This festival has the participation of 07 artisans (Thanh Dong) from Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Lang Son provinces (including 05 Meritorious Artisans) and 10 artisans (Thanh Dong) from districts, towns and cities of Bac Giang province . At the festival, each artisan (Thanh Dong) performs 02-03 Hau Dong prices with content praising gods, holy mothers and heroes who have contributed to the nation with the aim of preserving and promoting the traditional musical value of the heritage of practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Three Palaces of the Vietnamese people .

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Si Cam; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Luc Nam district Duong Cong Dinh awarded certificates to artisans and bronze workers.

With careful and meticulous preparation, the artisans and mediums brought unique and attractive performances, leaving a deep impression on the audience. At the end of the Festival, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of participation in the Festival to 17 artisans and mediums./ .
