Solemnly celebrated the 50th anniversary of Bao Loc Liberation Day

On March 28, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Loc City, Lam Dong Province, solemnly held the 50th Anniversary of Bao Loc Liberation Day (March 28, 1975 - March 28, 2025), towards the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The speech presented by Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Bao Loc City Nghiem Xuan Duc at the Commemoration Ceremony affirmed that the old town of B'Lao, Bao Loc today, is an important strategic location of Lam Dong province in the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism.

On September 2, 1963, the B'Lao City Party Committee was established and codenamed T29. Immediately after the establishment of the T29 City Party Committee, the T29 armed forces were officially born on September 5, 1963.

With the important strategic position of Lam Dong provincial capital (old), the army and people of B'Lao town steadfastly held out right in the enemy's heart, fought bravely to liberate Lam Dong province and completely liberate the South, unifying the country.

At 10:00 a.m. on March 28, 1975, the army and people of T29 fought bravely to destroy and completely disintegrate the puppet army and government apparatus in B'Lao town. Sub-regions and many other places in B'Lao town were completely liberated.

Through the process of construction and development, on July 11, 1994, the Government issued Decree No. 65 dividing Bao Loc into two administrative units: Bao Loc town and Bao Lam district. On April 8, 2010, the Government issued Resolution No. 19 on the establishment of Bao Loc city in Lam Dong province.

In recognition of the achievements over the past 50 years, the Party Committee, government and people of Bao Loc city were honored to receive the 2nd class Labor Medal and many emulation flags and certificates of merit from the Government from the Party and State.

Comrade Nghiem Xuan Duc expressed his deep gratitude and great pride for the glorious victories of the Party Committee, armed forces and people of the ethnic groups of B'Lao, and at the same time, expressed gratitude to the heroes of the armed forces, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, cadres and soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the American imperialists, liberating Bao Loc, liberating Lam Dong and liberating the South and reunifying the country.

At the ceremony, many generations of cadres and soldiers working and fighting on the battlefield of B'Lao town in particular, and Lam Dong province (old) in general, reviewed the tradition of fighting the enemy, protecting and building the homeland. A representative of Bao Loc youth gave a speech expressing gratitude for the great contributions of previous generations for today's peace and independence.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Bui Thang expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to generations of cadres, soldiers and people of Bao Loc who have shed so much sweat and blood to have a civilized, prosperous and beautiful Bao Loc like today.

He emphasized that today's achievements are the crystallization of patriotism, solidarity, perseverance, and the constant creative efforts of generations of cadres, party members, and people of all ethnic groups in Bao Loc city.

However, the road ahead still has many difficulties and challenges, requiring us to look towards the future with new efforts, determination and aspirations to firmly enter the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise; unite, join hands, and strive to overcome all difficulties, determined to bring Bao Loc land up, contributing to building Lam Dong province to develop quickly and sustainably.
