Vietnam's No. 1 setter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen showed a special role for LPBank Ninh Binh Club at the 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. In the opening match, Bich Tuyen scored 24 points but could not help her team overcome the championship candidate NEC Rockets (Japan). In the second match yesterday, Bich Tuyen continued to show her role as a "team carrier" when she repeated her achievement of 24 points, helping LPBank Ninh Binh win against Monolith Skyriers Club (Philippines).

LPBank Ninh Binh Club promises to go deep in the 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Tournament

At 10am today, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates will compete in the final match of Group B, facing Saipa Club (Iran). Against an opponent that has lost the previous two matches, the reigning Vietnamese volleyball champion is determined to win to maintain second place in the group. LPBank Ninh Binh Club is expected to go far because in addition to possessing the talent of Bich Tuyen, this team also has a team of players with many years of experience in the Vietnamese national team such as Nguyen Thi Trinh, Le Thanh Thuy, Dinh Thi Thuy along with Thai foreign player Warisara Seetaloped.

Duc Giang Chemical Club likely to meet LPbank Ninh Binh in the quarter-finals of the Asian Club Championship

At 4 p.m., the remaining representative of Vietnamese volleyball at the tournament, Duc Giang Chemical Club, will face the host Nakhon Ratchasima in the final match of Group A. In the second match yesterday, the representative from Vietnam won against Kwai Tsing Club (Hong Kong) but only ranked 3rd in this group. Tran Tu Linh and her teammates must defeat Nakhon Ratchasima in the final match to take second place. If they finish the group stage in 3rd place, Duc Giang Chemical Team will likely face LPbank Ninh Binh Team in the quarterfinals, recreating the final match of last year's national volleyball championship.

The 2024 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship attracted 8 teams to compete. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team, called Sports Center 1, is the defending champion but will not participate in this year's tournament. Instead, Vietnamese volleyball will send 2 representatives to participate, LPBank Ninh Binh Club and Duc Giang Chemicals.
