According to regulations of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, starting from today, June 21-24, it will accept applications for review of 10th grade exam papers.
Before 4:00 p.m. on June 24 , the Department announced the benchmark scores for specialized and integrated 10th grade.
June 25-29, candidates admitted to specialized, integrated, and direct programs will confirm their enrollment.
June 30 (expected), announcement of review results.
July 10, announced the benchmark scores for entering regular public grade 10.
July 11 - August 1, admitted candidates confirm enrollment.
The method for calculating admission scores to schools is usually as follows: Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Priority points (if any).
The test score is the sum of the component scores of each question in the test. The test score is calculated on a scale from 0 to 10, with a decimal point of 0.25. The maximum bonus points for priority beneficiaries is 3 points. Successful candidates must take all 3 tests and not receive a score of 0 in any test.
Based on the enrollment quota of each school, the number of applications and admission scores, the Department of Education and Training will review and announce the admission scores of each school according to the principle that the admission score for the second choice is higher than the admission score for the first choice and the admission score for the third choice is higher than the admission score for the second choice.
Students' admission will be based on the 3 wishes that the student has registered in order of priority from wish 1 to wish 2 and finally wish 3. Schools are only allowed to accept students who have passed the 10th grade entrance exam according to the list approved by the Department of Education and Training.
The method for calculating admission scores to specialized schools and specialized classes is as follows: Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Specialized subject exam score x 2 + Priority points (if any).
The method for calculating admission scores for integrated programs is as follows:
- For students participating in the Integrated English Program at secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City:
Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Average score of integrated English program + Priority points (if any).
- For students who do not participate in the Integrated English Program at secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City:
Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Integrated English exam score + Priority points (if any).
Only consider candidates who are eligible to take the entrance exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated the regulations during the entrance exam and have not scored 0 on any exam.
Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the 10th grade exam scores for more than 98,000 candidates, and also announced this year's score distribution. According to VietNamNet's analysis, for the Math subject, the results accurately reflected the previously published exam questions, which made candidates "cry" because of the difficulty. Only 49 candidates scored 10 points, 31 candidates scored 9.75 points, 132 candidates scored 9.5 points; 123 candidates scored 9.25 points; 276 candidates scored 9 points.
The highest score achieved by a candidate was 5 and 7,150 candidates achieved this score. In addition, the Math subject also recorded 123 candidates receiving 0.25 points; 142 candidates receiving 0.5 points; 188 candidates receiving 0.75 points; 256 candidates receiving 1 point... In particular, up to 55,263 candidates, accounting for about 55% of the candidates taking the exam, had below average Math scores. Compared to last year, this year's Math scores were much lower, and the number of below average scores was also higher (last year, less than 50% of candidates had below average scores).
There was no phenomenon of 10-point rain in Foreign Language (mainly English) but 1,707 candidates got 10 points; 3,158 candidates got 9.75 points; 3,836 candidates got 9.5 points. There were 3,943 candidates got 9 points and this was also the exam point with the most candidates getting it.
In English, 2 candidates scored 0.25. 4 candidates scored 0.5. 13 candidates scored 0.75. Out of nearly 100,000 candidates, more than 29,000 candidates scored below 5.
Meanwhile, the highest score in Literature was 9.5 and only 1 candidate achieved this score. However, this was the subject with the highest score. There were 20 candidates achieving 9.25 points; 197 candidates achieved 9 points. The highest score achieved by a candidate was 7 with 9,182 candidates.
There were 6,952 students with a score of 7.25; 7,509 students with a score of 7.5. Only 11,396 students scored below 5 in Literature. In addition, there were 3 students with 0.25 points in Literature. 13 students with 0.5 points. 21 students with 0.75 points, and 36 students with 1 point.
