Overseas Vietnamese delegation offers incense at Hung Temple Historical Relic Site
At the Hung Temple Historical Relic Site, the delegation offered incense at the National Ancestor Lac Long Quan Temple, offered incense in memory of the Hung Kings at the Lower Temple, the Middle Temple, and held a ceremony to report achievements and show gratitude to ancestors at the Upper Temple.
Sharing his emotions when offering incense for the first time at Hung Temple - a sacred place associated with the origin of the nation, Mr. Tran Quang Hien (representative of overseas Vietnamese in Thailand) said that he clearly felt a deep connection with his homeland and the Fatherland; grateful and proud of the heroic history of his ancestors, especially the merits of building and defending the country of the Hung Kings as well as the sacrifices of previous generations.
As a child who has been away from home for more than 20 years, Ms. Vu Thi Huyen (overseas Vietnamese in Korea) shared: "No matter where you go, remember the anniversary of the ancestors on March 10th. I willeducate my children and grandchildren, share with the younger generations of overseas Vietnamese, no matter where they are, always remember their roots, ancestors and the beautiful culture of the nation".
The Hung Kings Commemoration Day (10th day of the third lunar month) always receives great attention from the overseas Vietnamese community. Every year, representative agencies and Vietnamese associations around the world organize activities to celebrate this great national holiday.
Organizing the overseas Vietnamese delegation to attend the Hung King's Commemoration Ceremony 2025 not only demonstrates the morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", but also contributes to implementing the policies set forth by the Party and State for the overseas Vietnamese community in the new situation; it is also a regular activity in the 2025 work program of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.
Activities to strengthen the connection between overseas Vietnamese and their homeland and country, promote the tradition of turning to their roots and showing gratitude to their ancestors; thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting good cultural values in the Vietnamese community around the world, strengthening and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
On the same day, the overseas Vietnamese delegation worked with representatives of the People's Committees of Phu Tho and Tuyen Quang provinces. On this occasion, the overseas Vietnamese delegation presented charity gifts and contributed to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tuyen Quang province.
