On April 15 (March 7 of the lunar calendar), at the Hung Temple historical relic site, a palanquin procession took place to the Hung Temple from communes, wards and towns on the outskirts of the relic site.
Attending the procession were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Ho Dai Dung - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of Giap Thin 2024; Bui Dinh Thi - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee; Nguyen Dinh Cuong - Commander of the Provincial Military Command.
Delegates presented souvenir flags to localities participating in the procession.
This year's procession includes 7 communes, wards and towns on the outskirts of the relic site, including: Hy Cuong, Hung Lo, Kim Duc, Chu Hoa communes, Van Phu ward - Viet Tri city; Hung Son town, Tien Kien commune, Lam Thao district.
The palanquin teams entered the festival center yard one by one.
The palanquin procession to Hung Temple is a community activity to recreate the cultural and religious activities of the residents of the Ancestral Land associated with the ancestor worship; educate the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", pride in national traditions, the spirit of solidarity and close attachment, thereby contributing to the preservation, maintenance and promotion of the traditional cultural identity of the nation and creating the richness and attractiveness of folk cultural activities on the occasion of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival every year.
