According to Plan No. 11/KH-BTC, dated January 17, 2024 of the Festival Organizing Committee (Can Loc), the opening ceremony and tourism activities of Huong Tich Pagoda in 2024 will start from February 15, 2024 (ie January 6, Giap Thin year).
The festival area stretches from Ha Vang bridge (National Highway 1) through Thien Loc commune to Thuong pagoda, with key points including: Ha Vang, Thien Loc commune area, Huong Tich Pagoda Tourism Management Board area, boat dock, cable car station, Co temple, Cau temple, main pagoda area, Thuong pagoda.
The Huong Tich Pagoda Festival will include two main events: The opening ceremony of the Huong Tich Pagoda Festival associated with the opening of the Ha Tinh tourism year 2024 will take place on the 6th day of the first lunar month of the year of Giap Thin (February 15, 2024) and the birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara on the 18th day of the second lunar month (March 27, 2024).

According to the plan, the opening ceremony will be hosted by Can Loc district, with the support of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh, including the following contents: drumming to open the festival, opening the Ha Tinh tourism year 2024"; special art programs; cultural and sports activities (opened youth men's volleyball tournament, traditional wrestling, stick pushing, tug of war...); folk games: cockfighting, blindfolded duck catching...
The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's birthday celebration will be held by the Executive Committee of the District Buddhist Sangha, the abbot, the Management Board of Huong Tich Pagoda, and the People's Committee of Thien Loc Commune, including the following contents: the Tam Bao incense offering ceremony, the fruit tray contest, the bell ringing ceremony, reading prayers for peace, and distributing fortune...
