Quang Nam Provincial leaders received delegation from Battambang Province (Cambodia)

On the morning of March 24, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung received and worked with the delegation of Battambang province (Cambodia) on the occasion of attending the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

The delegation of Battambang province led by Mr. Pin Prakad, Deputy Governor of Battambang province, thanked the invitation to attend the celebration in Quang Nam and expressed gratitude to the Party, State, Government, army and people of Vietnam for helping the Cambodian people escape the genocide.

Mr. Pin Prakad said that Battambang and Quang Nam have had a cooperative relationship since 2013. Battambang is an agricultural province with a large rice growing area and the largest rice exporter in Cambodia, with strengths in cultural tourism and eco-tourism, so he hopes that the two localities will continue to make efforts to develop cooperative relations in areas of strength, and hopes that Quang Nam will have scholarships for Cambodian students to study and research in the fields of tourism, science and technology, etc. On this occasion, Mr. Pin Prakad invited the leaders of Quang Nam province to visit and work in Battambang and Cambodia in the near future.

On behalf of the leaders of Quang Nam province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet thanked the delegation of Battambang province for taking the time to attend the ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Quang Nam province and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed that this visit is also an opportunity for the two sides to learn about and realize the signed cooperation contents, especially in potential fields such as tourism, agriculture, industry and trade.

Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet also acknowledged the proposals of the Battambang provincial delegation regarding cooperation fields and scholarships for Cambodian students. At the same time, he hoped that the two sides would continue to exchange and consult to promote the implementation of cooperation programs, bringing the bilateral relationship into reality, sustainability and further development in the future.
