On the afternoon of October 9, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van had a working session with the delegation of CARE International (USA) led by Ms. Le Kim Dung, Country Director of CARE International in Vietnam (abbreviated as CARE).
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van expressed his deep gratitude to CARE for its attention and support to Dak Lak; at the same time, informed the delegation about the socio-economic development situation and the potentials and advantages of Dak Lak.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the organization's representative will share new cooperation opportunities in the strengths of CARE as well as the operational goals of PepsiCo Foundation (sponsor/partner of CARE) so that the parties have the opportunity to continue long-term, sustainable cooperation through development support programs and projects.

On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Le Kim Dung thanked Dak Lak province for the warm welcome; at the same time, informed about PepsiCo Foundation, CDCD Company and the organization's activities in the fields of: agricultural, rural and forestry development; mitigating the impact of natural disasters and adapting to climate change; promoting the resolution of social issues related to gender equality, and economic empowerment for women. In the coming time, CARE aims to develop the carbon credit market in forested localities such as Dak Lak province...

In the province, CARE Organization in collaboration with partners has implemented two projects: "I am happy to sow" and "Strengthening - Sustainable livelihoods for small-scale farmers", with a total support fund of nearly 10 billion VND.
The two projects, which will be implemented from 2022 to 2024, are expected to benefit and contribute to improving the production capacity of about 6,000 women and ethnic minorities; improving access to capital and financial management for rural women and ethnic minorities; and supporting and enhancing access to input and output markets for households.
To contribute to the effective cooperation in implementing projects, CARE hopes that Dak Lak province will continue to coordinate, accompany, and mobilize resources to implement projects in Dak Lak province in the coming time.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van highly appreciated the CARE Organization and its partners for accompanying and supporting Dak Lak province through projects.
